The EcoBoost four-cylinder is the sensible pick if you mainly want the look and the open roof. Two people and soft weekend bags fit fine. A family with a week of suitcases does not, and that's where you size up.
When you need to move people: Explorer and Expedition
For families and groups, the choice usually comes down to the Explorer against the Expedition. Both seat seven, both have a usable third row, and the gap between them is luggage and bulk.
The Explorer is the easier car to live with day to day. It parks in a normal mall bay, handles the school run, and the third row folds flat when you need the boot instead of the seats. With all seven seats up the cargo space is tight, enough for a few soft bags or a grocery run, not a family's airport luggage.
The Expedition is the one to take when seven people and their suitcases all travel at once. It's a full-size body, so it's longer to park and thirstier, but behind the third row there's real boot space, the kind that swallows a stack of large cases without folding anything down. If you're collecting a family of six or seven from DXB with bags, this is the car. If it's mostly the four of you around town with the occasional extra passenger, the Explorer is the smarter rent and cheaper to fuel.
