A Ford Mustang 2023 in Dubai is one of the last drop-tops built on the older S550 body before Ford brought out the redesigned S650 shape for 2024. Ours is white, an automatic, rear-wheel drive, and we can have it at your hotel or home usually within one to two hours of booking. The generation matters more than the paint: the roof still folds down over analog dials and a small dashboard screen, not the twin-screen digital cockpit Ford switched to on the newer car. Ford also sold two very different engines under this badge in 2023, and the listing doesn't say which one you're getting, so that's the first thing to settle before you commit to a week in it.
A 2023 Mustang can arrive with either of two engines under the exact same white paint, and they aren't close in character. The base 2.3-litre turbocharged four makes about 310 hp and gets to 100 km/h in around 5.5 seconds, light enough over the nose that the car turns into a roundabout cleanly. The 5.0-litre V8 in the GT brings about 450 hp, does the same sprint in roughly 4.3 seconds, and adds an idle and a mid-range shove the turbo four was never built to produce. Both route power through the same 10-speed automatic to the rear wheels only, since Mustang has never come with all-wheel drive. Ask which one is actually on the car before you pay, and treat the first day gently on a wet road or a painted lane line, since either engine will step the back end out under a heavy right foot.
| Spec | Detail |

| Engine | 2.3 L turbo four, or 5.0 L V8 GT (confirm which) |
| Power | About 310 hp (four) / about 450 hp (V8) |
| 0-100 km/h | About 5.5 s (four) / about 4.3 s (V8) |
| Transmission | 10-speed automatic |
| Drive | Rear-wheel drive |
| Seats | 4 (2+2) |
| Boot | About 323 litres |
| Fuel tank | Around 61 litres |
| Dimensions (L x W) | 4,789 x 1,916 mm |
| Ground clearance | About 131 mm |
| Colour | White |
Book this as a car for two and the rear bench becomes a bonus rather than a compromise. It's a 2+2, and those back seats suit a jacket, a couple of bags or a child on a short hop, not adults who want the use of their knees when they get out. Up front, two people get a low, well-shaped seat and enough room to actually enjoy the drive.
The boot holds about 323 litres, smaller than the fixed-roof Mustangs on our fleet because the folding top needs somewhere to live once it's down. It still takes a large case and a soft bag comfortably, or handles a two-person airport run without a fight, and the soft top doesn't shrink that space further once stowed, since it folds into its own well behind the seats. What needs more respect is the height off the ground. Ground clearance sits around 131 mm, low enough that a steep hotel ramp, a tight mall entrance or a sharp speed bump wants a slow, angled approach rather than driving straight over it.
White is the easiest colour on this fleet to leave in the sun, since it reflects more heat than a dark car and the cabin builds up warmth more slowly through the afternoon. That helps, but it doesn't turn a convertible into a shaded one. Roof-down hours here belong to the cooler months and the edges of the day, not a July afternoon. Run it open through most of the day from November to March. Once the heat sets in from around May, keep the top down for early mornings and after sunset, and never leave it folded on a car parked in direct sun, because the seats and the dash cook fast even under white paint.
Roof up, the small cabin works for you. There isn't much air for the AC to fight, so the front vents pull the temperature down within a couple of minutes, though the back seats get noticeably less airflow, one more reason to treat them as storage. Running cost tracks the engine you land. The four-cylinder returns roughly 9 to 10 litres per 100 km in mixed city driving, and with a tank of around 61 litres that's comfortably past 500 km between fills on a normal week of errands. The V8 drinks more, so ask about the difference before you book if fuel spend matters to you. Both want premium fuel.
Rent this Mustang if you're one or two people who want the older, more familiar shape before it disappears from the fleet, an evening with the roof down, and a car that still copes with daily errands and an airport run. It's a genuine last look at this generation, not a lesser version of the newer one.
Push for the V8 if the exhaust note is the actual reason you booked a Mustang, because the four-cylinder is a good car but rarely the one people picture when they picture this badge. Step away from both, or look at a sedan or an SUV, if your week means four adults or a real pile of luggage, since the back seats and firm ride wear thin fast.
A few terms before you commit. Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you, and seat belts are required in every seat. The daily mileage allowance is 250 km, then AED 0.5 for every extra kilometre, generous enough for city driving without watching the odometer. You need to be at least 21 to take the keys, and being a sports convertible, it goes out against a refundable deposit confirmed at booking rather than a no-deposit deal. Confirm the engine, keep the party to two, and this white convertible is a genuinely good-looking way to close out a week here before the newer shape takes over the fleet.
