The Seal is the one we'd point you to if you're doing distance. It's a sedan built on BYD's longer-range platform, and it holds highway speed on Sheikh Zayed Road without draining as fast as the smaller cars. If you've got a real Abu Dhabi commute or you want margin on range, the Seal earns it over the Dolphin.
Then there's the Tang, the seven-seater. Two adults, three kids and a week of bags fit with the third row up, and the boot opens up properly once you fold that row for an airport run. It's the only BYD in our fleet we'd hand to a family that needs three rows. If you only need five seats, the Atto 3 is the lighter, cheaper choice and you won't miss the extra row. One honest caveat for summer. In July and August the AC works hard against 45-degree heat, and that pulls real range out of any EV, sometimes 15 to 20 percent off the relaxed figure. For city use it barely matters. For a full Abu Dhabi day in August, take the Seal over the Dolphin and leave with a full charge.
