Renting an MG 3 2024 in Dubai gives you a city hatch with one decision to make before you book: petrol or the Hybrid+. We deliver it to your door or to DXB in one to two hours, and either version rents from 18 when most desks make you wait until 21. The plain 1.5 petrol is the cheaper, simpler pick for short city weeks. The Hybrid+ is worth it if you'll spend real time in stop-and-go traffic, where it sips less and pulls harder. This page is mostly about which of the two suits your week, and where a small hatch like this starts to run out of room.
The petrol MG 3 is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder making 109 hp through a CVT, front-wheel drive. It's adequate rather than quick, and it keeps the rental cheap. For errands, the school run and the daily commute around Al Quoz or Business Bay, it's all the car you need.
The Hybrid+ is a different animal. The petrol-electric setup makes a combined 194 hp through a three-speed automatic, so it feels noticeably stronger off the line and in traffic, and it burns less fuel in exactly the conditions Dubai throws at you. The catch is a smaller 36-litre tank against the petrol's 45, so the two end up close on range. Take the petrol if you want the lowest rate and your week is light. Take the Hybrid+ if you commute daily and want the extra shove without a bigger car.

At 4,113 mm long this is a small car, and that pays off every day in Dubai. The tight multi-storey bays in Marina, the older Deira car parks, and quick U-turns all stop being a chore. You'll slot into gaps a crossover driver drives straight past, and the view forward is good for judging a kerb or a ramp lip.
Ground clearance is 148 mm, which is fine for a city hatch but still low. Take the speed bumps in residential clusters and the steeper mall ramps at a crawl and angle in rather than charging straight at them. On flat tarmac it's a non-issue. This isn't a car for sand or rough tracks, and you shouldn't ask it to be.
Real-world economy lands somewhere between 14 and 20 km per litre depending on how much highway you do and how hard the AC works. In honest Dubai conditions, with traffic and the cooling running flat out through summer, plan for the lower end of that. On the petrol's 45-litre tank you're still looking at roughly one fill for a normal week of city running, maybe a top-up if you add a couple of airport runs. The Hybrid+ stretches further between stops in traffic even with its smaller tank, which is the whole point of paying more for it.
A small cabin has one real summer advantage: there's less air to cool. Park the MG 3 in the sun at 45 degrees and the AC brings it down to bearable faster than a big SUV manages, simply because there's less volume to chill. Front vents do the work, and at this level you shouldn't expect rear vents or a separate climate zone. Start it, run the fan high for the first minute or two with the windows cracked to dump the worst of the heat, then close up. The front seats are comfortable within about five minutes. Back-seat passengers on a long midday run will feel it more, so this is a better car for one or two people than a packed four.
The boot is the honest weak point. It takes one large suitcase plus a couple of mid-sized bags, enough for a couple on a week's stay or a solo traveller hopping between DXB and DWC. Fold the rear seats and you free up proper space for a flat-pack run or a big grocery shop. With all five seats up and the boot full, though, the cabin gets tight quickly. Pack light and it works. Pack like you're moving house and bags end up on laps.
Around town the petrol car's 109 hp is perfectly fine for traffic and lane changes. Get onto the E11 and the limits show: merging at speed and overtaking a truck takes planning, because the engine works hard above 100 and the CVT holds the revs high while it gathers pace. It'll cruise at the legal limit all day, but quick, confident overtakes on a long intercity run aren't its strength. The Hybrid+ handles the highway with more in reserve, which is the other reason to consider it if you live in the fast lane. Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you as the renter on either version, so a route that dodges a gantry or two saves a little each day.
Rent the MG 3 2024 petrol if you're one or two people who want the cheapest sensible automatic for city commuting and errands, and you care more about the fuel bill than pace or space. Step up to the Hybrid+ if your days are mostly stop-and-go and you want stronger response and lower consumption where it counts. Size up to a small sedan or crossover if you're four adults with airport luggage, if most of your driving is fast E11 work, or if you need a real boot. Keep it to what this car is, a frugal little city hatch, and either version does that job well and cheaply.
