Every MG3 2025 that comes through our Dubai fleet tends to land in white, silver or grey, so when a blue one shows up on the lot, renters usually ask if it's a different car. It isn't. Same 1.5-litre engine, same CVT, same modest hatchback that undercuts almost everything else we rent, just wearing a colour you don't see on this model very often. We get it to your door within one to two hours of booking, cash or card accepted on delivery. The colour is a genuine change from the norm here, not a marketing flourish, and it doesn't touch what the MG3 2025 is actually built to do: cheap, easy city driving, nothing more.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder under the hood makes 108 hp and 140 Nm, driving the front wheels through a CVT automatic. It's an unhurried setup, and in daily traffic that works in its favour. Filtering out of a Karama side street or holding a gap at a Jumeirah roundabout, the gearbox doesn't shuffle or lurch looking for a ratio. It just settles into a steady note and lets the car keep pace with whatever the road is doing.
Push it onto a fast merge and the story changes. Cruising at 120 km/h on Sheikh Zayed Road is no trouble, but closing a gap to pass a truck with the car loaded takes planning rather than a quick prod of the throttle. The soft, comfort-tuned suspension that makes low-speed manoeuvring easy also lets the car lean a bit through a fast roundabout instead of holding flat, a fair trade for a hatchback built around town use rather than a spirited one.
The boot measures 293 litres, on the small side even for this class, and it's the figure that decides who the MG3 2025 actually works for. One large suitcase and a soft holdall fit without forcing the tailgate down. Add a second hard case and you're stacking it on the back seat or leaving it behind, so plan on a couple with a bag each rather than a family loading up for a week away.
The back seat holds up a little better than the boot number suggests. Two adults manage a cross-town trip without complaint, and the middle spot works for a child seat or a short mall run, though three adults across the bench gets tight on anything longer than that. At 4,113 mm long and 1,797 mm wide, the car earns that compromise back the moment you're parking it. A covered residential bay or a tight spot on a mall's lower deck takes one clean move rather than a three-point shuffle. Ground clearance sits at 132 mm, low enough that a steep ramp or a fast speed bump deserves a slower approach than you'd give it in something taller.
MG quotes combined economy around 6.6 L/100km, a factory figure rather than a promise. Dubai traffic and the air conditioning working against summer heat push real consumption higher, closer to 8 L/100km, but the 45-litre tank still covers a realistic 500 km of city driving before a fill-up is due, usually one stop at the pump across an ordinary week.
This rental includes 250 km a day, with anything past that billed at AED 0.5 per extra kilometre, generous enough for commuting and errands but worth watching on a day trip out to Al Ain or Hatta. You'll need to be 21 or older to collect the keys, one of the lower minimum ages in our fleet. Salik tolls are charged to the renter at every gate, and any RTA fine picked up during the rental is the renter's to settle.
Left in a car park through a Dubai afternoon, the cabin still climbs into the high 40s, and colour makes a smaller difference than people assume. Blue sits in the middle of the range: it holds a touch more heat than the white or silver cars we usually put out in this model, but nowhere near what a black roof would gather sitting in the same spot. What actually helps is the car's size. There's less air for the front vents to fight, so the worst of it clears within a few minutes on the move rather than a long, sweaty crawl. There are no rear vents, so whoever sits in the back waits a little longer for the cool air to reach them.
Rent the MG3 2025 if the day rate is doing most of the deciding and your week is built around the city: a solo commuter, a couple keeping costs down, or a light airport run with one bag each. The lower minimum age helps too, since a 21-year-old renter gets turned away from plenty of cars in this fleet before they even look at the spec sheet. The blue paint doesn't change any of that calculation. It simply isn't the colour you'll see on every other one of these on the road, which is worth something if you'd rather not drive the same white hatchback as half of Dubai.
Size up if you're travelling as two couples or a family of four with real luggage, since the 293-litre boot and the back seat both run out of room at the same point. The same goes if your plans involve serious Sheikh Zayed Road distance or a run out to Hatta, where 108 hp means every overtake needs more room than you'd like. For a short, budget-minded stay built around the city, the MG3 2025 remains the easiest way into an automatic at this price, blue or not.
