Need a three-row SUV that doesn't feel like a compromise on the way to the airport? We hand over the Kia Telluride 2022 across Dubai, and you can take it on the no-deposit option, so the booking stays simple. This is the big family SUV that actually earns the third row: a quiet, plush cabin, a smooth 3.8-litre V6, and enough space to carry seven people and their cases without anyone folding into a corner. The trade-off is honest. It's wide to thread through a multi-storey, and that V6 likes to drink. The rest of this page is about whether the Telluride is the right call for your week, or whether you'd be better off a size down.
This is a car for a full load. A big family, a group splitting one airport run, or four or five friends heading to Hatta for the weekend with bags and a cooler. With the AWD V6 under the bonnet and a cabin that stays calm at speed, it does the long, dull cruises well and the short school runs without complaint.
If your usual trip is two adults and a couple of kids around the city, you're paying for space and fuel you won't use. A midsize SUV is cheaper to run and far easier to park. And if the badge matters more than the seat count, a luxury seven-seater will scratch that itch better. The Telluride's argument is space and comfort for the money, not prestige.
Seven seats here means seven usable seats. The second row slides and reclines, and the third row takes two adults for a real journey, not just kids for ten minutes. That's the difference between this and most "seven-seaters" that quietly assume the back row stays folded.
Luggage is the honest part. With all three rows up you get around 595 litres behind the third row, which swallows a week's worth of soft bags or three to four carry-ons, but not a stack of large hard cases for seven people. Drop the third row and you're at roughly 1,300 litres, easily a family's full holiday load. For a DXB or DWC run with seven passengers and full suitcases, plan to fold one third-row seat or pack soft. With six aboard, everything fits.

A naturally aspirated 3.8 V6 hauling a two-tonne SUV is never going to sip. In mixed Dubai driving expect somewhere around 11 to 12 litres per 100km, more in heavy stop-start, a little better on a steady Sheikh Zayed Road cruise. The 71-litre tank gives you a realistic 600 km or so between fills.
For a week of city errands that's roughly one fill, maybe a top-up. For a Hatta round trip plus airport runs, budget for two. If refuelling frequency is a deal-breaker for your trip, that's the strongest reason to look at a smaller, lighter SUV instead.
Dubai summer is where a big cabin can work against you, and the Telluride handles it well. The AC pulls a parked car down from oven temperature quickly, and the third row gets its own vents, so the people in the back aren't left to bake while the front stays cool. That matters more than it sounds on a 45-degree afternoon with a full car. Park in shade where you can and the cabin recovers faster, but even baking in the open the system copes with a packed cabin better than most cars this size.
On the E11 and out toward Hatta the Telluride is in its element. The V6 has easy overtaking pull, it sits flat and quiet at 120, and the AWD adds grip without turning it into an off-roader. The 203 mm of ground clearance clears speed bumps and steep mall ramps without scraping, and handles a graded desert track to a campsite, though this isn't a dune machine.
Parking is the part to think about. At five metres long and nearly two metres wide, the Telluride fills a standard Dubai parking bay and asks for care in tight Marina multi-storeys. The reversing camera and sensors help, but a snug bay is still a snug bay. If most of your driving is cramped covered parking, that's a genuine daily annoyance.
A few standing Dubai facts apply: Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental are the renter's responsibility, and a child seat is required for under-fours, which we can arrange.
Book the Telluride 2022 when you genuinely need the space. Six or seven people, a Hatta weekend with luggage, a group airport run where one car beats two. For that job it's the comfortable, well-equipped pick, and the no-deposit option keeps the booking clean.
If it's mostly two adults and a child around the city, size down to a midsize SUV. You'll park easier and refuel far less often, and you won't miss a third row you weren't using. Want the big SUV space with a premium badge on the bonnet? Then a luxury seven-seater is your lane. For everyone hauling a full house across Dubai, the Telluride is the sensible one.
