Rent Hyundai Grand I10 2025 in Dubai

The Hyundai i10 2025 is the smallest automatic on our Dubai fleet, and that is the entire point of renting one. We can have it at your door within one to two hours of booking, and it is the cheapest way to get a real automatic gearbox and working air conditioning without paying crossover money. It is not the same car as the Grand i10 you will also find listed with us: the i10 is a shorter, older-platform hatchback built to do one job well, moving one or two people around the city cheaply. This page is about whether that job is your job, or whether the extra length of the Grand i10 is worth the jump.

The engine, and how it drives

Hyundai sells this platform in the UAE with two petrol options, a 1.0-litre three-cylinder and a 1.2-litre four. The automatic version we rent pairs with the 1.2, which makes 84 hp and 118 Nm and is the one you want here, since it carries the AC compressor and a fully loaded car without straining. Zero to 100 km/h takes around 12.6 seconds, which tells you what this car is for: pulling away from a light, keeping pace in Marina traffic, sitting comfortably at 100 to 120 on Sheikh Zayed Road. Ask it for a fast overtake with four adults aboard and it will do it, just not urgently. That is a fair trade for a car this cheap to run, and it is not a reason to avoid it if your driving stays mostly in the city.

Boot, back seat and the daily load

At 3,670 mm nose to tail, the i10 is a genuinely small car, about 145 mm shorter than the Grand i10 we also rent. That shows up first in the boot: 252 litres is enough for one large suitcase and a soft bag, not more. Two people flying in for a week can make it work if they pack light. A third bag, or a stroller alongside the cases, and you are folding the back seat down and losing the rear bench to do it.

Up front, two adults sit fine, helped by decent headroom for the car's size. The back seat carries two adults for a short hop across town without complaint, and it will take three across in a pinch if they are kids. Put a third adult back there for anything longer than a quick run and knees start finding the front seatbacks. This is not the car for four adults with luggage. If that is your week, the Grand i10 or a mid-size sedan gives you the room this one does not pretend to have.

Where the short body pays you back is parking. At 1,680 mm wide and well under 3.7 metres long, it drops into the tightest Karama kerbside gap or Marina tower bay without the three-point shuffle a longer sedan needs, and U-turns on a mall ramp are a non-event. Hyundai does not publish a ground clearance figure for this generation, so treat speed bumps and steep multi-storey ramps the way you would with any low, small hatchback: fine at a walking pace, and worth taking gently if a ramp looks unusually steep.

Running cost, heat and the cabin

This is where the i10 earns its keep. Hyundai quotes 18.9 km/l combined, a lab figure you will not see with the AC working against a Dubai afternoon. In real city driving, expect closer to 13 to 14 km/l, which is still frugal. The tank holds 36 litres, so a week of commuting and errands puts you back at the pump once, maybe twice if you are driving in from further out every day.

The rental terms sit alongside that. You get 250 km a day, and past that it is AED 0.50 per extra kilometre, cheap enough that a day trip to Hatta or Al Ain will not wreck your budget. Salik tolls and any RTA fines are the renter's responsibility, as with every car we rent, and worth a quick mental note if your daily route crosses a toll gate.

A small cabin is genuinely useful in a Dubai summer, because there is less air for the AC to chill. The front vents pull a car that has been baking in a 48-degree car park down to comfortable faster than a bigger vehicle manages, so the first minute back in the driver's seat is the only rough one. It is single-zone, manual air conditioning, no climate screen or dual-zone luxury, which is exactly what you would expect at this price. Keep expectations set there and the system does its job well.

Who should rent it, and who should size up

Rent the i10 2025 if you are one person, or two travelling light, who wants the cheapest automatic on the fleet for city errands, a commute, and the odd airport run with a single case each. It parks anywhere, sips fuel, and costs less to keep on the road than almost anything else we have.

Size up if you are three or four people, or if luggage for more than two is coming with you. The Grand i10 costs little more to rent and gives you a genuinely bigger back seat and boot for it, and a mid-size sedan makes more sense again if the whole trip is a family one. One more honest note: this is not a highway car for long, loaded stretches above 120, and it has no business on sand or a Hatta track. Book it for what it is, cheap, easy, small-car Dubai driving, and it will not let you down.
