Renting an electric car in Dubai raises one honest question before any other: what happens when the battery runs low. The Tesla Model 3 2023 answers it better than most rental EVs, but you still plan the week around a charger instead of a petrol station, and that trade is what this page is built to walk through. We put this white, five-seat sedan on your doorstep within one to two hours of booking, with a single-speed automatic and a driving character nothing else in this price bracket matches. If a charging routine instead of a fuel habit sounds manageable, keep reading. If your week is a string of unplanned long drives, the honest answer might be a petrol sedan instead.
There's no engine, no gearbox to shift, just one motor over the rear axle sending close to 271 hp straight to the wheels. Zero to 100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds, quick enough to beat a four-cylinder Camry or Altima off the line without any turbo lag to wait through. Top speed is 201 km/h, well past anything legal on Dubai's roads, so the number matters less than how the car pulls in normal traffic. Pulling out into a gap on Al Khail Road or making a decisive left across a busy junction feels immediate rather than delayed. Lift off the accelerator and regenerative braking slows the car on its own, hard enough that most city driving barely needs the brake pedal. It's a calmer, quieter way to drive than a petrol sedan, and some renters miss the engine note they're used to leaning on for feedback. That's a genuine trade-off, not a flaw to gloss over.
| Spec | Detail |

| Boot | 594 litres rear plus 88 litres front trunk |

Cargo is where this car earns its keep against the sedans it competes with. The rear trunk holds 594 litres on its own, and a second compartment under the front bonnet adds 88 litres more, for close to 680 litres combined and over 1,140 litres with the rear seats folded flat. Two large suitcases go into the back without any awkward stacking, and the frunk is genuinely useful for a laptop bag, groceries, or anything you'd rather not have rolling around the main boot.
The back seat asks for a small compromise in return. Two adults sit comfortably and a third fits for a short airport run, but the roofline that gives the car its shape eats into rear headroom, so a tall adult on a longer drive will feel the ceiling. At 4.72 metres long with about 140 mm of ground clearance, it slots into a standard mall or tower parking bay without drama and takes ordinary speed bumps in stride, though the steepest multi-storey ramps still want a slow, angled approach rather than a straight run at them.
Tesla quotes 513 km of WLTP range, and that figure holds up reasonably well outside summer. Once the AC is running hard and highway speeds are pulling on the battery in July and August heat, a more honest real-world number sits closer to 450 to 500 km. That's still more than most residents cover in a week of commuting, school runs and mall trips, which is really the point: the range anxiety people worry about before booking rarely shows up once they're actually driving it. Plug in overnight at a home or building charger every three or four days and you're covered without ever watching the percentage drop toward zero.
The rental's daily allowance is 250 km, with anything over that billed at AED 0.5 per kilometre, and normal city use in this car rarely comes close to testing it. For a faster top-up mid-week, Tesla's Supercharger network reaches most of the city and pulls up to around 170 kW on this pack, taking it from low charge to about 80 percent in roughly 25 to 30 minutes. The one habit to break is grabbing a car last minute on empty the way you would at a petrol station. You can't, so if your week has a string of unplanned long drives with no natural stop in between, build a charging break into the route or choose a petrol car instead.
The cabin itself cools fast once you're moving, with real airflow from both front and rear vents, and starting the AC from the Tesla app while the car sits plugged in outside means you climb into a cooled cabin rather than one that's been baking under the glass roof since noon. That roof looks good and floods the cabin with light, but it does add heat while parked in direct sun, so lean on the app trick rather than skipping it. Seat belts are required in every seat, and as with any car here, Salik tolls and RTA fines are billed to the renter.
Rent the Tesla Model 3 2023 if you have a base to return to each night, an apartment, villa or hotel with charging nearby, and your week is mostly commuting, errands and the odd airport trip. Two adults covering the city daily will find the range, the boot and the quiet, instant driving character all work in their favour, and the minimum rental age here is 21, lower than the 25 many similarly quick cars require.
Look elsewhere if you need three adults comfortably seated in the back on a regular basis, or if your plans involve back-to-back long-distance legs with no time built in to think about a plug. This is the rear-wheel-drive Model 3, not an all-wheel-drive or Performance version, so treat it as a confident city and highway car rather than anything built for towing or sustained high-speed touring. As with Tesla rentals generally, budget for a refundable deposit at booking instead of expecting a no-deposit rate. If the charging routine sounds like a minor inconvenience rather than a dealbreaker, this is an easy car to spend a week with.
