Charging, range and the mileage math

Tesla quotes 515 to 547 km on a full charge, and that number holds up reasonably well in cooler months. Run the AC hard through a Dubai summer and expect something closer to 400 to 460 km in real use, which is still comfortably more than most renters cover in a week of city driving. A home or hotel wallbox on an 11 kW AC connection takes it from empty to full in around 11 hours, so plugging in overnight covers almost any normal day. Out and about, a 250 kW DC fast charger gets it from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 25 to 30 minutes, which is a coffee stop at a mall Supercharger, not a detour.

Here's the number that actually decides your week's cost: the allowance is 250 km a day, and anything beyond that runs at AED 10 per extra kilometre, which is a steep rate compared with most of the fleet. A single day of Marina to Downtown to DXB and back can eat into that allowance fast, so if your trip involves a lot of ground, agree a realistic daily distance before you book rather than finding out at return. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during the rental are yours to cover, same as with any car here, and every seat needs a belt on, with a child seat required for anyone under four.
