Skip the deposit and the Suzuki Dzire 2024 becomes one of the cheapest cars to keep on the road in Dubai. We hand it over with a no-deposit option, so your money stays in your account instead of sitting as a hold for a week. That matters most on a car like this, a small sub-four-metre sedan built to do one job well: cover the daily commute and the airport run on as little fuel as possible. If you want a budget saloon with a real boot and tiny running costs, the Dzire earns its keep. If you want refinement and space for four grown adults, this page will tell you where it falls short.
This is a frugal commuter first and a comfortable cruiser second. The 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol drives the front wheels and makes 82 hp, which is enough for getting around the city, slipping through Salik gates and keeping pace in normal traffic. It feels light and easy at urban speeds. Push past 100 on Sheikh Zayed Road and you notice the modest power: overtaking takes planning, and a full cabin with the AC working hard saps what little urgency the engine has. For one or two people doing city miles and the odd highway stretch, it's fine. For regular high-speed runs with passengers, you'd want something with more under the bonnet.

This is where the Dzire shines and where the value lives. The 37-litre tank is small, but the car sips fuel, so the two cancel out and then some. In real Dubai city driving with the AC running, expect somewhere in the 11.6 to 15.0 km/L band, which works out to roughly 550 to 700 km on a tank. For a typical week of commuting, school runs and errands, that's one fill, maybe a top-up before you hand the keys back. Drive gently on the highway and you'll edge toward the upper end. Sit in summer crawl traffic with the compressor fighting 45-degree heat and you'll land nearer the lower figure. Either way, the fuel bill is among the lowest of anything we rent.
The Dzire's party trick is its boot. Suzuki kept the car under four metres for tax and parking reasons, then gave it a genuinely deep saloon trunk rather than a hatchback's shelf. Two large suitcases and a soft bag fit without a fight, which makes this a smart cheap option for a DXB or DWC airport pickup when you've got luggage but a tight budget. Inside, the cabin is honest about what it is. Plastics are hard, the trim is plain, and the back seat is comfortable for two adults or three at a squeeze on shorter trips. Four grown adults plus airport cases for a week is where it gets tight, and that's the line where you should look at a Honda City or a Suzuki Ciaz for more shoulder room and a softer ride.
A small cabin is the Dzire's friend in summer. There's less air to chill, so the AC pulls a parked, baking interior down to comfortable faster than a big SUV manages. The front vents blow cold and strong. There are no rear vents, so back-seat passengers feel it a beat later, which is worth knowing if you regularly carry people in the back through July and August. Crack the windows for the first minute after a midday park and the system catches up quickly. For two people up front, the cooling is never an issue.
At just under four metres, the Dzire is one of the easiest cars to place in Dubai. Tight multi-storey bays, Marina ramps and crowded mall parking are non-events, and the light steering makes U-turns and reverse parking simple. The 163 mm of ground clearance clears speed bumps and mall ramps without scraping, so you're not nursing it over every hump. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental pass to you as the renter, and seat belts are required in every seat, with child seats for under-fours. None of that is unusual, but it's worth keeping in mind before you book.
Rent the Dzire if you're one or two people who want the lowest possible fuel and running costs, easy parking, and a real boot for airport luggage. As a solo commuter car or a budget airport pickup, it's hard to beat on cost. It's value, not luxury, and we'd rather be straight with you about that. If you're carrying four adults regularly, spending most of your week on Sheikh Zayed Road at highway speed, or you simply want a quieter, plusher cabin, step up to a Honda City or a Ciaz. For everyone else watching the budget, the Dzire does the job and barely touches the fuel pump doing it.
