We hand over the Suzuki Ciaz 2023 across Dubai with the no-deposit option, so you can take a roomy sedan without parking a chunk of your card limit as security. The Ciaz is the car renters keep coming back to when they want space and a low fuel bill more than badge or pace. Its back seat and boot belong on a more expensive sedan, and that's the whole point of this page: it's a budget car that gives you a lot of room for the money. If you're picking between a cramped hatch and something pricier, the Ciaz sits in the gap and usually wins on value.
Sit in the back of most cars at this price and your knees touch the seat in front. The Ciaz doesn't do that. At 4,490 mm long on a long wheelbase, it carries one of the roomiest rear benches in the economy sedan class, and three adults across the back for a half-hour run to Downtown is genuinely fine, not a polite fiction. The front is comfortable too, with a flat, simple dashboard and seats that don't punish you on a long airport transfer.
The trade for that space is an honest one. The cabin is basic, with hard plastics, plain trim and no soft-touch panels or fancy screen. For a value commuter nobody's trying to impress anyone in, most renters stop noticing within a day.
This is where the Ciaz earns its keep on a DXB or DWC run. The 510-litre boot is large for the class, and that's not a number I'm quoting to look thorough. Two large hard cases plus a couple of cabin bags go in flat, with room for a backpack on top. A family of four landing with a week of luggage won't be playing boot Tetris. Fold the rear seats and you can swallow a stroller, a few boxes, or a flat-pack run from the store.
For four adults with four full-size cases the back seat carries the overflow, but next to the hatchbacks people default to for airport pickups, the Ciaz is the easier car to load.

The 1.5-litre is genuinely frugal, with a strong official figure of roughly 20 km/l. In real Dubai driving, with the AC fighting 45-degree heat and city stop-start, expect closer to 14 to 16 km/l. On a 43-litre tank that's still a comfortable 550 km or so of mixed driving between fills. A normal week of commuting, mall runs and one airport trip rarely needs more than a single visit to the pump.
The Ciaz is tuned for calm, not for pace. The 105 hp engine and its automatic gearbox are happy to cruise the E11 at 120, and overtaking with one passenger is fine. Load it with four adults and luggage and ask for a quick highway pass and the engine gets vocal and unhurried. Plan your overtakes and you'll never be bothered. This is a relaxed commuter, and it drives like one.
Around town it's easy to live with. At 1,730 mm wide it slots into Marina and mall bays without drama, the 170 mm clearance clears speed bumps and ramps cleanly, and light steering makes tight multi-storey parks simple. Long sedan tail aside, it's undemanding in traffic.
Park it in July sun and the cabin bakes like any car here. The Ciaz's AC is a strong point: front vents pull a hot cabin down to comfortable inside a few minutes, and the back seat gets enough airflow to keep rear passengers happy on a school run or airport leg. Don't expect rear vents at this price, but the cabin is small enough that the front system covers it.
Two practical notes. Salik tolls run on the renter's account, so every gate you pass through during your rental is yours to settle, and any RTA fines pass to you as well. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat, and kids under four need a child seat. None of this is unique to the Ciaz, but it's worth knowing before you set off.
Rent it if you want the most rear-seat and boot room you can get on a budget, low fuel bills, and an easy car for commuting and airport runs. For a couple, a small family, or anyone doing steady city and highway miles without caring about kit or speed, it's one of the smartest value picks in the class.
Step up if you want more. If you'll spend long stretches at highway speed fully loaded, or you want a nicer cabin and a livelier drive, a Honda City or a Toyota Corolla is the better car, and they cost more for a reason. The Ciaz doesn't pretend to be either. It gives you space and economy for less, and on those terms it's hard to beat.
