Few budget sedans go as far between fuel stops as the Nissan Sentra 2025, and that's the first thing worth knowing if your Dubai week is built around the daily run down Sheikh Zayed Road. We rent it with flexible payment, debit cards, cash and pay-on-delivery all accepted, plus a no-deposit option, so booking it is as low-fuss as driving it. The argument here is straightforward: the Sentra is the long-legged commuter of the budget sedan class, a quiet, comfortable cruiser with a big tank and genuine range that keeps your running costs down on a high-mileage week. Where it asks for patience is outright pace, and I'll be honest about that.
Start with the number that shapes a real rental week. The 47-litre tank and an efficient 2.0-litre engine give the Sentra a long reach: Nissan quotes close to 800 km of highway range, and even with Dubai's stop-start traffic and the AC fighting the heat, you'll comfortably clear 600 km in mixed driving. City economy sits around 13.7 km per litre. For most renters that means one fuel stop across the week, sometimes none if your schedule is light. Fuel here is cheap to begin with, so a car that sips it and carries a big tank is about as inexpensive as a real sedan gets to run.

The 2.0-litre makes 149 hp through a CVT to the front wheels. On the open road that translates to relaxed cruising, not sharp acceleration. At 100 to 120 on the E11 the cabin stays settled and quiet, the suspension soaks up expansion joints, and the Sentra feels like more car than its price suggests. It's a genuinely comfortable place to cover distance.
Ask for a hard overtake, though, and it answers a beat late, with the typical CVT drone as the revs climb before the speed follows. For the vast majority of Dubai driving that's a non-issue, because you're cruising, not racing. If you regularly want to surge past trucks on the outer lane, or you simply enjoy a car that pulls the instant you ask, the Sentra will leave you wanting and the Altima with its bigger engine is the better call.
At 4646 mm long the Sentra is close to mid-size, and the back seat is where that shows. Two adults sit behind two adults for a full week without anyone asking to swap, and two child seats fit across the rear without a fight. The front seats are wide and softly bolstered, which matters more on a traffic-bound commute than any cornering sharpness.
The boot holds roughly 405 litres, which is large for the class and the Sentra's quiet edge over rival hatchbacks. Two large suitcases plus a couple of cabin bags drop in flat, so a family of four coming off a flight at DXB or DWC isn't playing luggage Tetris on the kerb. The rear seats fold if you ever need to carry something long, though for normal travel the standard boot swallows a week's bags on its own.
Dubai summers push past 45 degrees, and any car left in an open lot becomes an oven. The Sentra's AC is strong through the front vents and brings a baking cabin back to comfortable within a few minutes, helped by rear vents that keep back-seat passengers from cooking on the school run. It cools for four occupants properly, not just the driver.
Parking is easy enough despite the length. At 1816 mm wide with a tidy turning circle and light steering, it slots into Marina tower bays and mall multi-storeys without the wrestling a bigger sedan demands, and U-turns on the wide arterials are painless. Ground clearance is modest at about 120 mm, so take steep ramps and aggressive speed bumps slowly. On normal city roads it never gets in the way.
A word on the local rules before you drive off: Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you as the renter, seat belts are mandatory in every seat, and a child under four needs a child seat, which we can fit on request.
Rent the Sentra 2025 if you want a comfortable, frugal sedan for a high-mileage Dubai week, daily commuting on the highway, family errands and airport runs, with a big tank that keeps you out of fuel stations. The cabin and boot punch above the price, and the long range is the headline. Look elsewhere if pace is your priority, since frequent highway overtaking points you to the Altima. And if you only do short solo city hops, a smaller hatchback will cost less and park even easier. For covering real distance in comfort on a budget, the Sentra is the sensible pick.
