Rent Mercedes G900 2022 in Dubai

Mercedes G900 2022 is the name on the booking page, but Mercedes never built a G900. What you get is a Mercedes-AMG G 63 that Brabus has pulled apart and rebuilt, the V8 bored and stroked from 4.0 to 4.5 litres and retuned to roughly 900 hp, the most power behind any G-Class in our Dubai fleet. We can have it at your hotel, villa or the airport within one to two hours of booking. This page isn't here to convince you it's fast. That part is obvious from the number. It's here to help you decide whether the extra noise, the wider body and the higher running cost are worth it over a standard G 63.

What you're actually renting

In the Dubai rental market, "G900" has become shorthand for a G 63 sent to Brabus for the full treatment, and that's exactly what's on offer here. The G 63's hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 gets bored and stroked to 4.5 litres, new turbos and a full ECU remap, landing at roughly 900 hp. Brabus can pull as much as 1,250 Nm from that engine but electronically caps what reaches the nine-speed automatic at 1,050 Nm, protecting the gearbox rather than chasing a bigger number on the spec sheet. The result is a 0-100 km/h run of around 3.7 seconds and a limited top speed near 280 km/h, both a clear step ahead of the standard G 63.

The widebody kit is the visual half of the deal. Brabus flares the arches out and fits 24-inch wheels, so parked next to a regular G-Class this one reads noticeably broader before you've even heard the valve-controlled exhaust wake up. All-wheel drive carries over from the G 63 underneath, so the extra power goes down cleanly instead of just spinning the rear tyres off the line.

None of this makes it a factory Mercedes product, and it's worth being upfront about that rather than letting the name on the page do the talking. It's a heavily modified G 63, and the modification is real hardware, not a badge or a decal kit. If what you want is the most power and the loudest presence a G-Class can offer in Dubai, this is that car.

Living with the size day to day

Underneath the wide arches this is still a G-Class, which means five upright, roomy seats and a driving position high enough to see over most traffic. The boot holds 480 litres behind the rear seats, unchanged from the standard G 63 since Brabus doesn't touch the cargo area, enough for two large cases and a couple of soft bags on an airport run. The tailgate still swings open sideways with the spare wheel mounted on it, so leave room in front of the car before you try to open it.

The widebody kit is the thing to plan around. Brabus flares the arches to around 2,040 millimetres across, noticeably wider than a standard G 63, so a tower car park bay in the Marina or a tight mall multi-storey means folding the mirrors in and taking a slower run at it than you would in the standard car. Ground clearance carries over at around 241 millimetres, so speed bumps and steep ramps stay a non-event. The step-in is still tall, and the running boards help without making it anything less than a climb, worth knowing if you're travelling with small kids or in heels.

Heat, running costs and the cabin

Black paint and the G-Class's flat, upright glass soak up plenty of heat in a Dubai summer car park, so expect the first minute after you climb back in to be a warm one. After that the climate system does its job well, blowing cold from proper vents front and rear rather than a weak trickle reaching the back seats. The Brabus interior work adds hand-finished leather and trim on top of the G 63's already strong cabin, so it feels like an event to sit in even before the engine is running.

Running one of these isn't cheap, and it's worth going in with your eyes open. The 4.5-litre V8 uses more fuel than the standard G 63's 4.0, and with a heavy right foot in city traffic you'll be visiting a station more than once a week. Your rental includes 250 kilometres a day, with AED 0.5 for every kilometre over that, and Salik tolls plus any RTA fines land on you as the renter. As a Brabus-built luxury car, it takes a refundable deposit, and you need to be 25 to take the keys.

Who should rent it, and who should look elsewhere

Book this one if the standard G 63 already tempted you and you wanted more noise and more presence than it gives. This is that car, and handing the keys back with a story to tell is most of the point. Nothing else in our fleet gets people turning around in traffic the way this does, and among G-Class options it's the loudest possible statement you can make in Dubai.

Look elsewhere if what you actually want is a factory Mercedes and the badge that comes with it. A standard G 63 AMG gives you the same shape, five seats and the same 480-litre boot for meaningfully less to rent and less to feed, without needing to explain what a G900 is to whoever asks. And if comfort matters more than drama, a Range Rover or a GLS rides softer, costs less at the pump and carries more, with no widebody arches to worry about on a tight ramp. This car isn't trying to be either of those. It's built for one job, being the most powerful thing on the lot, and it does that job honestly.
