The fuel bill, and getting the cabin livable again

White is the easiest colour to leave parked through a Dubai afternoon. It throws back more sun than the black or blue G63s in the fleet, so after a few hours outside a mall it comes back to the touch noticeably cooler than a dark car would. That only goes so far, because the G63 is mostly tall, upright glass, and glass heats a parked cabin regardless of what colour the panels are. Climb back in after a long stint in the sun and the first breath is still warm. What actually fixes it is the climate system, strong front and rear with real vents feeding the second row rather than a faint draught off the dash, so the cabin drops to comfortable inside a couple of minutes on the move.

None of this is cheap to run.
