Book a Range Rover Sport 2025 and you're really renting two cars in one: the SUV that handles a Saturday run out toward Hatta, then slips into a DIFC valet lane on Monday morning without changing a thing. We deliver it in black to your hotel, villa or terminal across Dubai, usually within one to two hours of booking. The Sport is the keener, road-biased Range Rover, quick enough on Sheikh Zayed Road and quietly capable when the tarmac thins out. This page settles one thing: whether that comfort-and-capability mix is what your week actually needs, or whether you'd be better sizing up or across.
The Sport sits one rung below the full-size Range Rover, shorter and lower, and that lower body is the whole reason to pick it. You keep the badge, the hush and most of the luxury in a car that's happier being driven than chauffeured. The engine on rent is the 3.0-litre Ingenium inline-six with mild-hybrid assist, 355 hp through an eight-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive. It reaches 100 km/h in about six seconds, brisk without being theatrical. This isn't the V8, and it doesn't need to be. On Sheikh Zayed Road the mid-range is enough to clear an overtake in one move, and at a cruise the cabin is close to silent.
The capability is real, not marketing. Air suspension raises the body, there are terrain modes, and the car will wade and climb a graded track if you point it at one. A rented Sport still belongs on tarmac, though. The paved road out to Hatta and the odd unmade stretch near a desert villa are well within it. Dune driving is not what you rent one for, and soft sand punishes cars that try. The value is the range between those two jobs, one car that does the school run and the mountain road without complaint.

Five seats, no third row, because the Sport doesn't offer one. What the five get is space that feels expensive rather than merely adequate. Two adults sit behind two tall front passengers with legroom to spare, and the middle rear seat suits a child better than a fourth adult on a long run. The boot is the number that settles the luggage question: 835 litres behind the rear seats, opening past 1,800 with them folded. A DXB or DWC pickup with three large hard cases and a couple of soft bags loads flat, no wrestling at the tailgate.
Size is the trade. At just under five metres long and a shade over two metres wide across the body, the Sport threads a Marina tower bay or a mall multi-storey more easily than the full-size car, but it's still big, and folded mirrors and a little patience help in the tightest spots. Rear-wheel steering tightens the turning circle, so U-turns and narrow ramps ask for less than the footprint suggests. The air suspension and clearance turn steep entrances and high speed bumps into non-events. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental come back to you, as on any car here, and children under four need a child seat.
That big glasshouse, usually with a panoramic roof above it, soaks up heat through a Dubai afternoon. Left in an open lot, the cabin gets genuinely hot, and pulling it down from the mid-40s takes a moment longer than a small hatch would, simply because there's more air and more glass to shift. The climate system manages it without drama and cools evenly, front and back, rather than freezing the driver and leaving guests warm. Rear passengers get their own vents, and the cooled front seats take the sting out of hot leather when you first get back in. Park in shade or a basement where you can.
On running cost, be realistic. The tank holds 90 litres of premium, and while the official figure sits around 10 to 11 litres per 100 km, a week of Dubai stop-start traffic pushes the real number higher, so budget for fills. Your allowance is 250 km a day, then AED 0.5 for each extra kilometre, which covers most stays comfortably unless you're running to Abu Dhabi and back on repeat. As a premium rental the Sport takes a refundable deposit, confirmed at booking, so it isn't the no-deposit option.
Rent the Range Rover Sport 2025 if you want one car for a mixed Dubai week: weekday meetings where presence counts, family days out, airport runs, and the occasional weekend that leaves the tarmac. It's the sweet spot of the range, real Range Rover luxury in a body that's keener to drive and easier to park than the full-size car, and few SUVs arrive as complete for the money.
Size up or across in two cases. If the rear seat is the entire point of the booking, or you want the roomiest, quietest cruise, the full-size Range Rover gives you more space to stretch out. If you'd rather have the sharper driver's SUV than the plushest one, a Porsche Cayenne is more alive through a corner for less outlay. Go in with the terms clear: premium fuel and a refundable deposit, 250 km a day then AED 0.5 beyond it, and you'll need to be 25 to take the keys.
