Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2023 - start from 748 AED / day

Most people who ask us for a Range Rover Sport 2023 in Dubai are choosing between presence and capability, and this is the car that gives you both. We deliver it across the city within one to two hours and bill the rental flexibly, settled on handover, so you're not tied to a counter or a card hold before you drive. The Sport sits below the full-size flagship but above almost everything else, with a 3.0-litre six, all-wheel drive and air suspension that lets it climb a dune as readily as it cruises Sheikh Zayed Road. The decision this page settles: whether you actually use what the Sport offers, or whether a calmer big Range Rover or a smaller SUV suits your week better.

Desert days and the case for the hardware

This is where the Sport stops being a status symbol and starts earning the rate. The combination of permanent all-wheel drive, air suspension that lifts to 281 mm and a 900 mm wading depth means Hatta tracks and soft sand are genuinely within reach, not a brochure boast. Drop the tyre pressures, switch the terrain response to sand, and it does work that costs far more elsewhere. Most renters never push it that far, and that's fine. But if your week includes a desert weekend or a rough track to a campsite, this is one of the few cars in any fleet that handles it without drama and still feels plush on the drive home.

The highway, where it spends most of its life

On the E11 the Sport is quiet, planted and quick to gather pace. The inline-six pulls strongly enough that an overtake at 120 is a single squeeze of the throttle, no run-up needed, and the cabin stays hushed at the speeds the open road invites. It leans into corners less than the flagship and changes direction with more intent, so if you've driven the bigger Range Rover and found it floaty, this is the one you actually wanted. For long airport transfers to DXB or DWC, or a day trip out toward the east coast, it covers distance the way an expensive SUV should.

Luggage, passengers and the third-row question

Five seats, and a boot that swallows a real week of bags. Two large suitcases stand upright with room for soft bags around them, which covers a family flying in with full cases. Fold the rear bench and it turns cavernous, fine for a bulky pickup or sports kit. The honest limit is people: there's no third row here. If you regularly carry six or seven, this isn't the answer, and a longer three-row SUV is. For four adults plus airport luggage, the Sport has space to spare and the comfort to make every trip feel short.

Heat and the first few minutes

Leave any car under the July sun and the cabin will be punishing when you open the door. What matters is recovery, and the Sport's climate system pulls a 45-degree interior down to something civil within a few minutes of driving. The front vents hit hard and there are rear outlets, so passengers in the back aren't waiting on cold air that never arrives. Where the car has cooled seats, they earn their keep on the school run. Crack the windows for the first thirty seconds and you'll clear the worst of the trapped heat before the AC even catches up.

Parking it, and what it costs to run

This is a wide, long SUV, and Dubai's older multi-storey bays weren't drawn with it in mind. In Marina towers and tighter mall basements you'll use every centimetre of the bay and lean on the camera suite, which the car provides in good resolution. The turning circle is better than the footprint suggests, so U-turns stay simple. Speed bumps and steep ramps are a non-issue once you raise the suspension. On running cost, the 90-litre tank is large because this is a heavy, powerful SUV that drinks accordingly, around 12 to 14 litres per 100 km in the city mix, nearer 10 on a calm cruise. A full tank still gives a comfortable week plus an airport run or two. Salik tolls run on your account, any RTA fines during the rental pass to you, belts are mandatory in every seat, and under-fours need a child seat.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Range Rover Sport 2023 if you want a luxury SUV that's genuinely fun to drive, looks sharper than the flagship, and can take on a desert weekend without flinching. It suits a driver, not just a passenger. If your priority is the softest possible ride and rear-seat lounge space, the full-size Range Rover is the better call. If your week is mostly tight city parking and short errands, or you need six or seven seats, size down to a crossover or up to a three-row SUV. Just know the thirst is real, and a heavily optioned example is a different, pricier car, so confirm exactly what you're collecting at booking.
