Kia Pegas 2025 - start from 138 AED / day

The 2025 Kia Pegas is the freshest version of Kia's cheapest sedan, and we rent it in Dubai with a no-deposit plan so you can book without locking up a chunk of your card. The newest year brings a wider colour choice and the latest cabin tidy-up, but under the skin it's the same honest formula: a 1.4-litre petrol four, a four-speed automatic, and running costs about as low as a sedan gets here. Picking the current year is mostly about getting the newest car for the rate rather than a different driving experience. This page is about whether that's worth it for your week, and where the Pegas still asks you to compromise.

What the newest year actually changes

Year to year the Pegas doesn't reinvent itself, and that's fair to say up front. What 2025 gives you is the most current cabin in the line and a broader paint range, with options like Glacier White and Yacht Blue Metallic alongside the familiar Clear White and Aurora Black Pearl. Inside it's still plain, hard plastics and simple controls, but it's the cleanest version of that plain, and a newer car tends to feel tighter and quieter on the road than an older one with more rental kilometres behind it. If you'd rather not drive something that's been worked hard for years, the latest year is the easy call.

Heat and how the cabin copes

Newest year or not, this is a small petrol sedan facing a Dubai summer, so set expectations sensibly. The AC is a single front system with no rear vents and no climate luxury, but the cabin is compact, so once you've let the first wave of hot air out the windows it pulls down to comfortable in a few minutes. Park in shade where you can. On the move it holds a cool cabin fine for the two up front and acceptable for rear passengers on a short trip. Don't expect it to revive a sun-baked black-interior cabin instantly, because nothing in this bracket does.

Fuel, and the cost of a week

The 43-litre tank and a real figure around 16 to 17 km/L give you roughly 700 km of mixed driving, dropping toward the lower end once the AC runs flat out in summer city traffic. For a normal commuting week that's a single fill, maybe two if you're covering longer distances. The engine is small, petrol is cheap, and the running cost stays low. One thing to read on this year's listing: extra kilometres beyond the 250 a day are charged at 1 AED each, so if your week runs long, keep an eye on the allowance rather than the pump.

Parking, boot and the airport run

At 4.3 metres with light steering, the Pegas is easy to place in the tight multi-storey bays at the Marina and the malls, and the 150 mm clearance clears speed bumps and ramps without scraping. The 475-litre boot is the practical surprise: two large suitcases go in flat with cabin bags on top, enough for a DXB pickup or a week's stay, while a hatchback at this price takes one big case before you fold seats. Three big cases plus a fourth passenger's bag is where it gets tight. RTA fines during the rental pass to you, and a child under four needs a child seat by law.

The drive, told straight

A new model year doesn't add power. The 95 HP and four-speed auto are built for economy, so the Pegas pulls away cleanly in town and cruises at 120 on the E11 without fuss, but an overtake at speed needs planning and you'll hear the engine work with a couple of passengers aboard. Above 100 the easy pace tails off. For commuting and errands that's exactly enough. For a week of long highway runs between emirates, you'll want more under the bonnet whatever the year on the badge.

Who should rent it

Rent the Pegas 2025 if you want the newest, cleanest version of Dubai's cheapest automatic sedan for city commuting, errands, and the occasional airport run, and the no-deposit plan suits how you'd rather pay. You get the current cabin and the widest colour choice for a rate that's still near the bottom of the market.

Step up if your week is mostly highway miles or four adults who want a quiet, planted cruise. A Honda City gives you noticeably more poke and polish, and an Elantra moves you into a roomier, better-isolated sedan, both for more money and both worth it if pace and refinement are the point. The Pegas doesn't pretend to compete there. It's the dependable, low-cost choice, and 2025 is simply the freshest way to have it.
