Kia K5 2025 - start from 212 AED / day

Booking a Kia K5 2025 in Dubai puts you in a full-size sedan for economy-class money, and we'll bring it to your door in one to two hours with debit cards and pay-on-delivery both accepted. The engine is the headline here. The 2025 car runs a 2.0-litre petrol making 150 hp through a smooth automatic, and that one detail shapes the whole rental. This is the relaxed, undemanding K5: enough to move five people and their bags comfortably, not the version you rent for overtaking drama. Our argument is straight. If your week is commuting, airport runs and the occasional cruise up the highway, the 2.0 is the sensible pick and you won't miss the bigger engine. We'll say where that logic breaks below.

What the 2.0-litre engine actually feels like

The 150 hp 2.0 isn't quick, and that's fine for how most people use a rental here. It pulls away from lights cleanly and settles into traffic without fuss. Merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road takes a little planning rather than a stab of the throttle, so you build your gap early and slot in. The automatic shifts smoothly and rarely hunts, which is what you want in stop-and-go.

Where you notice the modest power is a full car on a steep climb or a fast overtake with four passengers aboard. It gets there, just without urgency. For daily Dubai driving that trade is easy to live with, and the payoff is a calm, fuss-free car.

How often you'll stop for fuel

The 60-litre tank is the figure that decides your week. In mostly city driving with the AC working hard you'll see roughly 8 to 9 litres per 100 km in the real world, easing off once you're cruising the highway at a steady pace. For most renters that means filling up once across a normal week, maybe twice if you're racking up long motorway runs.

A couple of trips to DXB or DWC plus daily commuting won't leave you watching the gauge. The 2.0 is no thirstier than it needs to be, and the modest output works in your favour at the pump.

Space, boot and passengers

For all its calm engine, the K5 is a genuinely big sedan, and that's its real value. Two adults up front have room to spare, and the long wheelbase means three across the back works for adults on a longer drive, not just kids. The sloping roofline costs a little rear headroom, so very tall passengers in the back will notice, but most won't.

The boot holds 510 litres, large for the class. Two big suitcases and a couple of soft bags go in without a wrestling match, which makes an airport pickup of three or four people with luggage comfortable here in a way it isn't in a smaller car.

Staying cool when it's 45 outside

From May to September this matters more than horsepower. Any car left parked in the Dubai sun turns into an oven, so the question is how fast it recovers once you're moving. The K5's air conditioning is strong, the front vents hit hard, and there are rear vents so back-seat passengers cool down too instead of baking behind you. Give it a minute with the doors shut after a hot start and the cabin is comfortable. For a family with kids in the back, those rear outlets are worth more than any number on the spec sheet.

Parking, ramps and the running costs that fall to you

At just over 4.9 metres the K5 is a long car, so you'll feel it on a tight U-turn and in older multi-storey bays. Marina ramps and mall entrances are fine, and the visibility is good. The 135 mm of clearance is sedan-low, so you take Dubai's taller speed bumps gently rather than at speed.

A few costs sit with the renter. Salik tolls are charged as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during your rental are yours to settle. Seat belts are required in every seat, and a child under four needs a child seat by law, which we can fit on request.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the K5 2025 if you want a big, comfortable, well-equipped sedan for commuting, airport runs and easy highway cruising, and you're happy with relaxed pace over outright pace. With the 2.0 engine it's one of the calmest, best-value full-size sedans we keep, and for four people with luggage it's hard to fault at the rate.

If you regularly drive a full car hard, love a punchy overtake, or want the sportier feel, look at a turbocharged sedan instead. And if your week involves soft sand or anything off the tarmac, this is the wrong tool entirely, so a crossover or 4x4 is what you want. For a normal Dubai week, though, the 2.0 K5 does everything you'll actually ask of it.
