We deliver the Kia Forte 2024 to your door in Dubai within one to two hours, so you can skip the rental counter and have the keys where you actually are. The Forte is a compact sedan that earns its keep as a daily commuter: roomy for its class, easy on fuel, and carrying a boot big enough to make airport runs painless. This page is about whether it fits your week. The short version is that it punches above its rate for comfort and space, it just isn't the car you rent if you want a sporty drive or a premium-feeling cabin.
Think of it as a sensible, full-size compact sedan rather than a budget runabout. The cabin is genuinely roomy, the back seat takes two adults in comfort for a full day, and the ride leans soft and quiet, which is exactly what you want crawling along Sheikh Zayed Road at rush hour. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder makes 147 hp through an automatic (IVT) gearbox driving the front wheels. That's enough to keep up with traffic and merge onto the E11 without drama, though it's tuned for smooth response, not quick getaways. Pin it and you hear the engine before you feel much shove. For commuting, errands and airport shuttling, none of that matters.

| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4641 x 1801 x 1435 mm |

This is where the Forte quietly wins. The boot holds 434 litres, which is large for a compact sedan and noticeably more usable than most hatchbacks in the same bracket. Two large suitcases plus a carry-on and a couple of soft bags go in without a fight, so a family arriving at DXB or DWC can load up and still see out the rear window. The 60/40 rear seats fold if you need to push something long through. For a week of mall runs, grocery hauls and an airport pickup or two, you won't be playing luggage tetris. If you routinely move four adults plus all their cases, a midsize sedan gives you more shoulder room up front, but for most renters this boot is the reason to pick the Forte over a smaller car.
The 53-litre tank and the 2.0-litre engine make for a frugal commuter. Kia's official figure sits near 6.9 L/100km combined, but be realistic: Dubai means the AC running flat out, stop-and-go traffic, and a lot of idling at long lights, so expect somewhere around 7.5 to 8 L/100km in daily use. That still gives you roughly 700 km between fills on mixed driving, closer to 800 if your week is mostly highway. In practice a typical resident commute means one fill every week to ten days, and a tourist doing airport-hotel-attractions loops will likely return the car without ever visiting a petrol station. Salik tolls and any RTA fines are billed to you as the renter, so the gantries on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail add up over a week even though the car itself is cheap to feed.
Pulling a parked cabin down from a Dubai afternoon is the test every rental fails or passes in July, and the Forte does fine. Park it in the sun at 45 and the wheel and seats will be brutal for the first minute, but the front vents move a strong volume of cold air and the cabin is reasonably compact, so it cools to comfortable within a couple of minutes of driving. There are no rear air vents, which is worth knowing if you'll regularly carry passengers in the back during summer; they sit a little behind the front occupants on cool-down. For two up front it's a non-issue. Tint and a sunshade on the windscreen go a long way if you park outdoors all day.
At 4.6 metres long the Forte is compact enough for Dubai's tighter multi-storey bays and the spiral ramps at Marina and Mall of the Emirates, but it's a proper sedan, so it has a longer nose than a hatch and you'll want the reversing camera for parallel spots. The 135 mm of ground clearance clears speed bumps and standard mall ramps without scraping, though it's a road car, so keep it off the soft stuff and unpaved tracks. Light steering and a tidy turning circle make U-turns and tight community roads easy. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat here, and a child seat is required for under-fours, both billed and arranged separately if you need one.
Rent the Forte if you want a comfortable, well-equipped sedan for commuting, family errands and airport duty, and you'd rather spend your budget on space and a big boot than on badge or pace. It's one of the better value compact sedans we hand over, and the back seat plus the boot make it feel a class above its rate. Don't expect a driver's car: the steering is light, the IVT prioritises smoothness over urgency, and the plastics inside are plain and hard, fine but not plush. If you're only ever two people doing short city hops, a hatch is cheaper to rent and easier to park. If you want a genuinely premium feel, rear vents and more highway muscle for long E11 hauls, step up to a midsize sedan. For the daily-driver brief in Dubai, though, the Forte is hard to beat for the money.
