Renting a Kia Carnival 2024 in Dubai is the move when one car has to carry everyone and their bags at the same time, and we deliver it across the city in one to two hours. This is a genuine eight-seat people mover with sliding doors and a flat floor, not a three-row crossover that squeezes the back two passengers in as an afterthought. We also rent it from 18, which matters when a younger person is the one organising a group trip and most desks won't help under 21. The argument is plain: when the seats are full, nothing in this bracket moves people more comfortably for the rate, and the only real catch is its size in city parking.
The 3.5-litre V6 makes 272 horsepower through an automatic gearbox, and you want that headroom in a car this big. Load eight people and luggage and it still pulls onto Sheikh Zayed Road without straining, then holds 120 on the E11 quietly enough that the back rows can hold a conversation. This is front-wheel drive, built for tarmac, so think airport runs and the paved road to Hatta rather than dune tracks.
The 72-litre tank feeding a thirsty V6 means you'll visit the pump more often than in a small SUV, especially with the AC working flat out in July traffic. Expect a tank to cover several days of school runs and city driving rather than a clean week. For a group road trip, build one fuel stop into the plan and you won't be caught short.
Room is the whole point, and the Carnival delivers it. Three rows carry real seats, so the third row isn't the token bench you tolerate in a midsize SUV. Adults can sit back there for an airport transfer without folding into themselves, and the sliding second row lets you trade legroom between rows two and three depending on who's aboard. The eight-seat layout is the one to ask for if you're regularly at capacity.
For a big family this is the easy answer. Two parents, four kids and the school bags load without anyone arguing over the back seat. The sliding doors and low flat floor make fitting car seats far less of a fight than hauling them up into a tall SUV.

| Transmission | Automatic |
| Drive | Front-wheel drive |

Behind the third row you get 627 litres, enough for a full week's shop or a stack of soft bags with every seat occupied. That's the honest ceiling: eight people and eight full-size hard cases won't both fit at once. Fold one section of the rear row and the space opens up dramatically.
For a DXB pickup the practical move is simple. Collecting six people with a case each, drop part of the back row and you carry both the passengers and the bags comfortably. The one trip that tightens up is a full eight aboard with everyone's large suitcase, and that's the booking where we'd tell you to plan the seating before you set off.
Cooling a cabin this big at 45 degrees is the real test, and the Carnival handles it better than most. Rear vents feed the second and third rows, so the kids in the back aren't baking while the front stays cool, and after a sun-soaked parking session the whole cabin settles within a few minutes. With a full load of passengers, that even cooling is worth more than any single feature.
Size is the trade-off you accept. At over five metres long and nearly two wide, the Carnival needs thought in tight multi-storey bays and on the steeper Marina ramps, and U-turns take more road than you're used to. The 173 mm of clearance clears speed bumps and mall lips without scraping. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during the rental fall to you, and child seats are required for under-fours, which we can fit on request.
Rent the Carnival 2024 if you're moving seven or eight people regularly, running a big family, or hosting a group that would otherwise split across two cars. For the money nothing carries people more comfortably, and the rent-from-18 option puts it within reach of younger drivers planning a trip.
Skip it if it's mostly you and a passenger or two doing city errands. A van this size is wasted on light duty, fiddlier to park and thirstier than you need, and for four people with luggage a midsize SUV is the smarter rent. The Carnival pays off when the seats are full, and that's exactly when to book it.
