You can rent the Jeep Wrangler 2025 in Dubai from age 18, where most desks make you wait until 21 or even 25 for a 4x4 like this, and we deliver it across the city in one to two hours. That low age bar matters, because the Wrangler tends to be a trip car, the thing younger drivers book for a Hatta run or a dune weekend rather than a commute. We rent the four-door 3.6 V6 automatic, and this page makes one honest call: the Wrangler is superb for the adventure and merely okay for daily errands, so book it for what it's built to do and skip it if your week is mostly Sheikh Zayed Road and the mall basement.
The 2025 Wrangler runs the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with 285 horsepower through an automatic gearbox and proper four-wheel drive underneath. It'll reach 100 km/h in around 7 seconds, which is plenty of shove for a tall, square 4x4. The four-door is a five-seater and the version almost everyone takes, because it gives you usable rear doors and a far bigger boot than the stubby two-door.
You're not paying for refinement. You're paying for the body-on-frame toughness, the ground clearance, and the roof and doors that come off when you want the open-air drive. Nothing else on a normal rental fleet offers that combination.
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Class / body | Standard SUV, removable roof and doors |
| Seats | 5 (4-door Unlimited) |
| Engine | 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol |
| Power | 285 hp |
| 0-100 km/h | About 7 seconds |
| Transmission | Automatic |
| Drive | 4x4 with low range |
| Fuel tank | About 81 litres |
| Fuel economy | Roughly 8.5 km/L combined |
| Range | Around 600 to 700 km on mixed driving |
| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4785 x 1875 x 1869 mm |
| Ground clearance | 246 to 274 mm |
| Boot | Around 900 L behind the rear seats, far more folded |
| Colour | Orange (subject to availability) |
This is where the money goes. Clearance runs from roughly 246 mm up to 274 mm on the more capable trims, so deep ruts, rock steps and soft sand that would beach a crossover are no drama. The four-wheel-drive system is the real thing, with a low range for crawling rather than a soft on-demand setup pretending to cope. On a Hatta pools track or a dune session out past Al Qudra, the Wrangler does exactly what it was made for.
One caveat from the desk: the car gives you the hardware, not the skill. If you've never driven sand, stay on graded tracks, air down properly, and don't head out alone. The capability is genuine, but it won't read the dunes for you.
Out on the E11, the Wrangler is competent rather than relaxing. It cruises fine, but the tall body catches crosswind, the steering goes light at speed, and you'll hear wind around the roof and door seals as the needle climbs. At 120 with a soft top up, a phone call means raising your voice. That's simply what a removable-roof off-roader feels like at motorway pace, and no version of it is quiet.
Parking is the daily reality. At 4785 mm the four-door is long and square, so Marina ramps and tight multi-storey bays want a little patience. The high seat and big glass help, so placing it is easier than the dimensions suggest.
It drinks, and there's no pretending otherwise. A V6 hauling a brick through city traffic returns around 8.5 km/L, and hard sand driving drops that further. The 81-litre tank stretches a fair way on a gentle cruise, but on real Dubai mixed driving plan to fill up more often than you would in a sedan. We include 250 km a day, with extra kilometres at 2 AED each.
Dubai summers push past 45C and a parked Wrangler turns into an oven. The AC pulls hard once it's running, but the large cabin and a soft top let heat soak in, so give the fans a few minutes on high before you expect comfort. Renting in July or August, ask for the hard top, because it seals and insulates far better than canvas and keeps the cabin noticeably cooler. Save the doors-off drive for the milder months when sitting in the sun is the appeal rather than a punishment. The usual rules apply too: Salik and any RTA fines pass to you, belts are required in every seat, and under-fours need a child seat we can fit on request.
Rent the 2025 Wrangler if the trip is the point. For Hatta, a dune day, or the look and feel of an open Jeep with the newest cabin, nothing on the fleet comes close, and the four-door is the one to take for the rear doors and the space. The rent-from-18 option makes it one of the few real 4x4s a younger group can actually book.
Skip it if your week is school runs and motorway commuting both ways. You'll pay for fuel you don't need and live with noise and ride a crossover would spare you. Match the car to the week and the Wrangler is one of the most rewarding keys we hand over.
