Gmc Yukon 2022 - start from 594 AED / day

Need a big SUV that moves a large group without the latest-year price tag? We hand over the GMC Yukon 2022 across Dubai, with doorstep delivery in one to two hours so you can be loaded and rolling the same morning you book. This is the value pick in the full-size class: a body-on-frame V8 hauler with three real rows, a cavernous boot, and the kind of relaxed highway cruise that long airport runs and family weeks ask for. The 2022 gives you most of what the newer Yukon offers at a softer older-year rate. The trade is fuel. The 5.3L V8 drinks, and we'll be straight with you about that below.

What you're actually getting for the money

The Yukon's whole argument is space at a sensible rate. Three rows that adults can sit in, a tall ride that makes Dubai's heat and traffic feel distant, and a V8 that never strains no matter how full the cabin is. The 2022 model year is where the value sits. The platform is the same generation that's still on sale, so you get the modern wide body and the smooth 10-speed gearbox, just at the price an older registration commands.

For a group of six or seven splitting one rental for a week, the maths works in the Yukon's favour. One car covers the airport pickup, the daily runs, and the weekend trip out of town. Smaller SUVs make you take two cars or leave luggage behind.

Does my family and luggage fit

Yes, and that's the point of renting one. Three rows seat eight, and unlike most seven-seaters the Yukon's third row is built for adults on a real journey, not just kids on a short hop. Legroom back there is genuine, and the second row slides to share it out.

Luggage is where it pulls ahead. Behind the third row you still have roughly 720 litres, enough for a stack of airport cases that would defeat a mid-size SUV with all seats up. Drop the third row and the load floor opens into something closer to a small van. For a family of six arriving at the airport with a full set of suitcases, this is one of the few rentals where nobody holds a bag on their lap.

The caveat is honest: fill all eight seats and the boot shrinks. You can carry eight people or eight people's worth of luggage, but a full house plus a week of cases is a squeeze. Most groups travel as six adults with bags, and that's the Yukon's sweet spot.

The V8 thirst, and how often you'll refuel

No softening this. The 5.3L V8 returns somewhere around 13.8 litres per 100km in mixed Dubai driving, and city crawling pushes that higher. The 91-litre tank gives you real range, but you'll watch the gauge move. Expect to refill roughly twice a week on normal use, more if you're commuting in traffic daily.

Fuel is cheap here, so the running cost stays reasonable even with the appetite. Still, if your week is short city hops with two people aboard, you're paying for an engine you aren't using. That's the case for sizing down. The Yukon earns its fuel bill when the car is full and the distances are long.

Driving it around Dubai

On Sheikh Zayed Road and the E11 the Yukon is in its element. It cruises at speed without fuss, has the torque to overtake a road train fully loaded, and the long wheelbase keeps it planted. Airport runs to DXB or DWC are easy, and the high seating gives you a clear view over traffic.

The size is the thing to plan around. At over five metres long and wide with it, this is a lot of vehicle for a Marina ramp or a tight mall basement. Multi-storey bays feel snug, U-turns need room, and you'll use the cameras parking it. Speed bumps and ramps aren't a worry given the clearance, but the footprint is. If most of your week is inside packed parking structures, that's a real friction point.

One note on terrain. The Yukon is all-wheel drive and rides tall, but it's a soft-roader built for tarmac and graded tracks, not a dune machine. It handles a firm desert trail or a gravel approach to a campsite fine. Don't take it deep into soft sand expecting a proper 4x4's hardware, because that's not what this trim is.

Heat, AC and the Dubai rules

In a 45-degree car park the Yukon's large cabin takes a moment longer to cool than a small hatch simply because there's more air to move. The upside is three rows of vents, so once it's down, everyone gets cold air, including the back. Park in shade where you can and the pull-down is quicker.

A few rental basics. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your hire pass to you, the renter. Seatbelts are required in every seat, front and back, and children under four need a child seat. With eight belts on offer, the Yukon at least makes seating a big family by the rules straightforward.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Yukon 2022 if you're moving a large group and their luggage and you want to do it in one comfortable vehicle at the keenest full-size rate we run. Big families, group airport transfers, and anyone facing long highway days with a full cabin will get exactly what they came for, and the older year keeps it affordable.

Skip it if your week is two people doing short city errands and parking in tight basements. You'd pay for fuel and footprint you never use, and a mid-size SUV or a sedan does that job cheaper and easier. The Yukon is the right answer to one specific question: how do I move a lot of people and a lot of bags without spending big. For that, nothing in the class does it better for the price.
