The Jaguar F-Pace 2024 is what you book when the smaller Jaguar SUV on this fleet, the E-Pace, doesn't have the room or the pace your week needs. It's a mid-size five-seat SUV, all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic, and under the bonnet sits a turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder rather than the E-Pace's four, finished in white and delivered to your hotel, villa or terminal within one to two hours of booking. Where the E-Pace trades size for an easier park, the F-Pace gives you a longer wheelbase, a proper boot and genuine shove once Sheikh Zayed Road opens up. This page works out whether that extra size and power is worth the difference, or whether less car suits you better.
This F-Pace runs Jaguar's P400, a turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder with mild hybrid assistance, making 400 PS (395 hp) and 550 Nm through an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. That's 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and a 250 km/h top speed, a full second quicker to 100 than the four-cylinder E-Pace on this fleet, and close to what a BMW X5 xDrive40i delivers rather than a badge-only claim to performance. The mild hybrid system stores braking energy in a small battery and uses it to smooth the gearbox's low-speed shifts, so pulling away from a stopped light doesn't come with the hesitation smaller turbo fours sometimes show.
The difference is most obvious on the highway. Merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road or passing a truck sitting at 100 takes one confident push of the accelerator rather than a downshift and a wait, and the steering keeps the same alert weight Jaguar tunes into the rest of the range. The ride leans firmer than a Range Rover Sport's and a shade softer than the sportiest German rivals, which suits Dubai's mix of smooth highway tarmac and rougher side streets reasonably well.
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol, mild hybrid (P400) |
| Power | 400 PS / 395 hp |
| Torque | 550 Nm |
| 0-100 km/h | 5.4 seconds |
| Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
| Drive | All-wheel drive |
| Seats | 5 |
| Boot | 650 litres (up to 1,740 litres with rear seats folded) |
| Fuel economy | Around 9.7 L/100km combined (WLTP) |
| Fuel tank | 83 litres |
| Dimensions (L x W x H) | 4,747 x 2,071 x 1,664 mm |
| Ground clearance | 213 mm |
| Colour | White |
At 4,747 mm the F-Pace runs almost 350 mm longer than the E-Pace, and nearly all of that extra length lands in the cabin rather than going to waste. Two adults sit comfortably behind a tall front seat, with enough knee room that a longer transfer from the airport doesn't turn into a complaint, and a fourth passenger up front has just as much room as the driver.
The boot takes 650 litres with the rear seats up, which is two full-size cases plus a duffel bag without anyone stacking luggage against the rear window, and folding the second row down opens that to 1,740 litres for a bulkier single load like golf bags or flatpack furniture. Set against the E-Pace's 577-litre boot, this is the Jaguar to book when the trip is four people with real luggage rather than two with an overnight bag.
Six cylinders and 395 hp don't come free at the pump. WLTP combined economy on the P400 sits around 9.7 L/100km, noticeably thirstier than the E-Pace's four-cylinder, and a Dubai summer week with the AC running hard through midday traffic will land above that figure rather than under it. The 83-litre tank absorbs some of that gap, giving a solid run between fills even with regular highway stretches mixed in.
Because the cabin is bigger than the E-Pace's, it takes a touch longer to pull a baking 45-degree interior down to something livable, but the front vents move a lot of air and the rear seats get their own outlets instead of waiting on the front to catch up. On the worst afternoons, give the doors a minute open before you settle in rather than sealing that heat inside straight away. Ground clearance of 213 mm handles mall ramps and speed bumps without a scrape, though the all-wheel-drive system here is set up for grip on tarmac, not for Hatta's sand tracks, so save the desert runs for a car actually built for them. Whatever you drive, Salik charges and any RTA fines that land during the week come back to the renter, and that applies here too.
Rent the Jaguar F-Pace 2024 if you want the six-cylinder pace alongside the badge, you're carrying four adults with proper luggage, and you'd rather feel the drive than just tick a fuel-economy box. Nothing else in this size class on our fleet pulls as hard, and the extra room over the E-Pace earns its keep the moment your group grows past two.
Look elsewhere if it's just you or a partner running errands and mall trips around town. The E-Pace covers that job for less, parks into a tighter bay, and its smaller cabin actually cools down quicker on a hot afternoon. One more thing before you book: this is a deposit car rather than a no-deposit one, with the refundable amount confirmed when you reserve. The daily allowance runs to 250 km, each extra kilometre costs AED 0.5, and you need to be at least 25 to take delivery.
