Want a seven-seat SUV that feels expensive without paying German-badge money? The Infiniti QX60 2023 is one of the easier calls on our fleet for that, and yes, it rents in Dubai with 250 km a day included, which is more headroom than most family SUVs here give you. This is the redesigned generation, so the cabin is quieter and smarter than the model it replaced, and the third row is one you can actually use rather than a token bench. What this page sorts out is whether the QX60 is enough SUV for your family, or whether you should size up, before you book it for the week.
The QX60 sits in the comfortable middle of the luxury SUV class. It's a three-row, seven-seat petrol V6, front- or all-wheel drive depending on the unit, and it's tuned for quiet cruising rather than sharp handling. We hand these to families who want the space and the soft, hushed ride of a premium badge, and who'd rather not pay what a comparable Audi or BMW seven-seater costs to rent.
The 3.5-litre V6 makes 295 hp through a nine-speed automatic, and on Sheikh Zayed Road that's plenty. It pulls cleanly to highway speed with a full load, overtakes without drama, and stays settled in the fast lane on a DXB or DWC airport run with five or six people and their cases aboard. The redesigned nine-speed is smooth in normal driving, though it can take a beat to kick down when you ask for a sudden burst. For relaxed family motoring across the city, you won't notice.

This is the question that decides the rental, so here's the honest version. The QX60's third row is genuinely usable, which isn't true of every seven-seater in this size. Two kids ride back there happily, and an average adult will be fine for a cross-town trip or a run to the airport. For two adults in the third row on a longer drive, it's tolerable rather than generous, and you'd want to slide the second row forward to free up knee room.
The catch is luggage with all three rows up. Like most seven-seaters at this length, the QX60 leaves you a shallow boot behind the third row, enough for a few soft bags or the weekly shop, not a stack of hard suitcases. So the real-world maths is simple. Seven people plus a single carry-on each, fine. Seven people plus a full set of airport cases, no. Fold the third row and the boot opens up to swallow a proper holiday's worth of luggage for a family of four or five, which is how most renters end up using it anyway.
If your trip is consistently seven adults with full luggage, that's the moment to size up to a full-size SUV like a QX80 or a Tahoe, where the boot behind the back row is a different story.
A big glasshouse cabin like this soaks up sun fast in a covered-but-warm car park, and in June that matters. The QX60's air conditioning is strong, and on a 45-degree afternoon it pulls the front cabin down to comfortable within a few minutes of moving. The thing that makes it a proper family car here is the rear climate setup, with vents feeding the second and third rows so the kids in the back aren't waiting on cold air that never reaches them. Park in shade where you can, crack the windows for ten seconds before you set off, and the system does the rest.
A practical note on the running costs of a V6 this size. Expect roughly 8.6 km per litre around town and closer to 11.6 on the highway, so a 74-litre tank gives you a comfortable week of mixed Dubai driving before you're back at the pump, and a long highway run can stretch toward 800 km. It's thirstier than a four-cylinder crossover, which is the price of the V6 smoothness.
At just over five metres long and nearly two metres wide, the QX60 is a large vehicle, and you'll feel it in older Marina towers and tight mall bays. The good news is that the surround-view camera and parking sensors on this generation make squeezing into a standard bay far less stressful than the dimensions suggest. Higher-floor garages and generous parking are no trouble. It's the cramped lower-deck Marina ramps and end bays where you'll want to take your time.
Ground clearance is 170 mm, which is set for tarmac, not dunes. It clears Dubai speed bumps and steep mall ramps without scraping, and it's happy on graded roads, but this isn't a desert-track SUV and you shouldn't treat it as one. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental are billed to you, seat belts are required in every seat, and children under four need a child seat, which we can fit before delivery if you ask.
Rent it if you want a quiet, classy, properly equipped seven-seater for a family week in Dubai, with a third row your kids or occasional adults can actually sit in, and you'd rather not pay premium-German money for the privilege. It's the comfortable middle ground, and for school runs, mall trips and airport collections with the whole family, it's hard to fault.
Look elsewhere in two cases. If you regularly need seven adults plus a full load of suitcases at the same time, the boot will let you down and a full-size SUV is the right buy. And if you want a sharper, more engaging drive over outright comfort, a rival like the BMW X5 in three-row form will feel more alive, at a higher rate. For everyone in between, the QX60 is the easy, sensible booking.
