Hyundai Stargazer 2025 - start from 252 AED / day

Most seven-seaters force you to wrestle a big body into tight Dubai car parks, and the Hyundai Stargazer 2025 is the rare one that doesn't. At under 4.5 metres it's barely longer than a family hatchback, yet it folds three rows and seven belts into that footprint, which is why we rent it to people who need the seats but hate the bulk. We deliver it to your door in one to two hours, and you can rent it from 18. The argument here is about packaging: if you want the maximum number of seats in the smallest, easiest-to-park MPV, the Stargazer is the clever pick. If you regularly fill all seven with adults and luggage at once, or want real highway pace, this isn't the one, and we'll explain why.

Seven seats in a small footprint

The Stargazer's trick is space efficiency. The boxy MPV shape and a long wheelbase mean the cabin feels far roomier than the outside suggests. Five travel in real comfort, and the third row is usable for kids or for adults on a short hop across town. It's a compact MPV, not a full-size people carrier, so set expectations there: the back row is for occasional use, not the daily commute of two grown adults.

The flat floor and tall doors make it easy to load child seats and to climb in and out, which matters more on the school run than any horsepower figure.

The engine, honestly

A 1.5-litre making 115 hp is moving a seven-seat body, so this is a relaxed car, not a quick one. Around town and on errands it's smooth and perfectly adequate, and the light controls suit stop-start traffic. Load it with people and bags and merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road needs more planning, so leave a longer gap and let it build speed before you commit to an overtake. It cruises at E11 speeds happily enough; it just isn't built to surge past everything at 120. For the city-and-suburb life most renters give it, that's a fair match.

Seats up or luggage in: the real trade

This is the call that should decide it. With all seven seats up, the boot behind the third row is small at 200 litres, enough for a few soft bags or a school run's worth of kit, not a set of hard cases. Fold the third row and the hold opens right up, taking the big suitcases for a family of five with room to spare. What the Stargazer can't do is carry seven people and a full load of airport luggage at the same time, which is the honest limit of any compact MPV. If your trip is seven adults plus a week of cases, you want a larger people carrier. For five with the odd extra child in the back, it's spot on.

Fuel and the small tank

The modest engine keeps consumption low, but the tank is small at 40 litres, so plan your fills accordingly. In normal Dubai city and suburb use you'll get a useful range out of a tank, though a heavy load in summer heat with the AC working will shorten it. Expect to fill up a little more often than you would in a larger MPV with a bigger tank, which is a minor cost for the easier parking and lower running expense.

Heat, cooling and the back row

Every cabin this size lives or dies on how fast it cools after hours in a Dubai lot, and the Stargazer's MPV shape actually helps: the air moves through a tall, open cabin quickly. The front vents pull hard, and rear airflow reaches the back rows, which counts with kids in the third row in July. Open the windows for ten seconds before setting off to dump the trapped heat and it gets to comfortable within a few minutes. It's a budget MPV, not a climate suite, so don't expect separate rear controls, but the cooling does the job.

Parking, ramps and Dubai roads

This is the Stargazer's strongest card. At 4.46 metres it parks like a hatchback, so the tight multi-storey bays, Marina ramps and U-turns that punish a full-size people carrier are simply easy here. The 185 mm of clearance clears speed bumps and raised mall lips without drama. It's front-wheel drive, so treat it as a tall family car rather than anything for sand. The usual Dubai rules are brief: Salik tolls and any RTA fines during the hire pass to the renter, and children under four need a proper child seat, easy to fit through the wide doors.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Stargazer 2025 if you need seven seats but want a car you can actually park, with the flexibility of folding the back row for luggage when the seventh seat isn't in use. For a family of five with an occasional extra passenger or two, doing mostly city and suburban miles, it's a genuinely practical, easy car to live with for a week.

Look at a larger people carrier or SUV if you regularly carry seven adults, need both the third row and a full boot at once, or do long highway stints fully loaded where the 115 hp engine starts to feel stretched. For maximum seats in minimum size, though, the Stargazer is the smart, easy pick, and we'll have it at your door inside two hours.
