Hyundai Palisade 2021 - start from 326 AED / day

Work out the cost per seat and the Hyundai Palisade 2021 starts to make a lot of sense for a group. We rent it across Dubai with payment settled however suits you on delivery: card, cash, bank transfer, or a wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay. It's a three-row SUV that seats seven, with a 3.5-litre V6 and a third row adults can actually use rather than just look at. The argument here is value: this older Palisade gives you genuine seven-seat comfort for a rate well under the newest full-size SUVs, and for a family or a group that travels together, that's the whole point. The catch, as always with a car this big, is parking and the pump, and we'll be straight about both.

Seven seats that all earn their place

The third row is what justifies the booking. Two adults fit back there for an airport run or a day out, not just kids wedged in for ten minutes, and the second row slides so you can trade legroom front to back depending on who's sitting where. That's rare at this rate. Most cheaper three-row SUVs give you a token bench that nobody over twelve wants. The Palisade doesn't, which is why a household that actually fills the seats gets more out of it than the price tag suggests.

What it costs to run for a week

The 3.5 V6 making 249 hp is smooth and rarely short of pull, which is what you want with seven aboard and a loaded boot joining Sheikh Zayed Road. That ease has a fuel bill behind it. A petrol V6 hauling this much weight will sit in the low teens of litres per 100km in real Dubai city driving, more when you're crawling in summer traffic with the AC flat out. The large tank means a relaxed touring range, so a normal week of school runs and mall trips means filling up maybe twice. Fuel here is cheap, but nobody should rent this expecting economy-car numbers. You pay in petrol for the space, and for a full car that maths still works out cheaper than running two smaller cars.

Living with its size in Dubai

At close to five metres long and almost two wide, the Palisade takes thought in tight spots. Marina towers and older multi-storey basements have narrow bays and tight ramps, and you'll lean on the parking camera and sensors rather than eyeballing it. The clearance is generous for an SUV of this type, so speed bumps and mall ramps pass without a scrape, and once you accept the footprint the day-to-day is easy enough. Where the size pays off is the airport. A family of seven landing at DXB or DWC with cases fits in one trip instead of two cars, and the long wheelbase makes the E11 a settled, relaxed cruise rather than a busy one. This is a confident motorway car, not a nimble city runabout.

Luggage, and the choice you have to make

Behind all three rows there's room for the soft bags of a day out, but not a full set of airport suitcases for seven. Fold the third row and the boot opens up into a deep, flat space that swallows a big family's holiday luggage with seats for five still standing. The honest rule is simple: seven people, or seven people's cases, rarely both at once. For five passengers and a week of bags it's excellent. For a packed eight-up airport haul with luggage, you're either folding a row or taking a second vehicle.

Heat, cooling, and the rules you pay for

A cabin this large takes a moment to cool after baking at 45 degrees, but the Palisade has vents reaching all three rows and a strong system that pulls the temperature down within a few minutes of pulling away. Rear passengers get their own airflow, which matters with kids in the back on a long, hot drive. Park in shade where you can and the first few minutes are far kinder. A few Dubai basics worth stating plainly: Salik tolls are charged to the renter, and any RTA fines during your rental pass to you, so watch the gantries and the cameras. Seat belts are required in every seat, and children under four need a proper child seat, which we can arrange.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Palisade 2021 if you've got a real family or a group and you want three usable rows and genuine comfort without paying the newest full-size-SUV rate. It's a lot of car for the money, and the older model gives up very little a family on holiday would actually notice.

Look elsewhere in two cases. If it's mostly two of you doing city errands and short airport hops, this is more SUV than you need, and a five-seat crossover is cheaper to fuel and far easier to park. And if your week is built around soft-sand dune driving, take a proper body-on-frame 4x4, because this is a road-biased family SUV, not a desert tool. For everyone in between who needs the seats, the Palisade is the value pick.
