The newest Accent finally feels like more than a budget box, and that's the reason to pick the Hyundai Accent 2025 over an older year on our Dubai fleet. The current generation moves the cabin upmarket, with a cleaner dashboard, an updated infotainment screen, and seat trim that lifts it well above the plain economy interiors the Accent used to ship with. We deliver it across Dubai, and our take is straightforward. If you want the practicality and frugality the Accent has always offered but you've held off because the cabin felt cheap, this is the version that fixes that complaint without pushing you up to Elantra money. The page below is about whether the nicer cabin and the bigger boot are worth choosing the latest year.
Sit in a 2025 Accent after one of the older ones and the difference is immediate. The dashboard layout is tidier, the central screen is bigger and quicker to respond, and the materials you touch most feel a step better. It's still an economy car, so there are hard plastics lower down, but the impression on first contact is closer to a class above. For a week of daily driving, the bits you interact with constantly, the screen, the controls, the seats, are the bits that matter, and this is where the newest Accent spends its improvement.
It seats five, with two adults comfortable in the back and three workable for short hops. Knee and head room are good for the class, so ferrying family isn't a squeeze.
The current Accent is the roomiest in the boot we've handed over, at around 480 litres of usefully square space. Two large hard cases go in flat with room to spare for soft bags, or three medium cases packed sensibly. For a family of four flying into DXB or DWC with a full week of luggage, that's everything in the boot rather than a case riding on a lap. It's one of the easier economy cars to load, and it's the practical reason to take this generation even setting the cabin aside. Carrying five adults with full-size suitcases is still where you'd size up to a larger sedan.

Under the bonnet is the familiar 1.6-litre four-cylinder making 130 hp, driving the front wheels through an automatic. It's enough for the way most renters drive in Dubai: clean off the line, relaxed at 100 to 120 on Sheikh Zayed Road, easy to slot into traffic. It isn't a quick car, and a hard overtake with a full load makes it work, but that's a rare ask on a commuting and airport week. Economy is the strong suit, at roughly 16 km per litre in mixed driving, and the 45-litre tank pushes real-world range past 600 km. A normal week needs one fill, maybe a top-up before handback.
A Dubai summer turns any parked cabin into an oven, so the question is recovery speed. The Accent's single-zone climate is honest and effective, and a compact cabin cools faster than a big SUV because there's less air to chill. After a 45-degree soak, a few minutes with the fan up clears the worst before you've left the car park, and the front vents push hard. There are no rear vents at this level, so back-seat passengers depend on the front blowers reaching them, which works well enough in a cabin this size. The nicer trim doesn't buy you ventilated seats or twin-zone control, so judge the climate on what it is: a strong, simple system for a small car.
At about 4.5 metres the Accent is easy to place in tight multi-storey bays, on Marina ramps, and through the city's endless U-turns, helped by light steering. The 172 mm of ground clearance clears Dubai's aggressive speed bumps and mall ramps without scraping. On the open road it settles into a calm cruise on the E11, quiet enough at highway speed for an economy sedan. A few rules pass to you as the renter: Salik tolls bill through the gate tags on your account, RTA fines during the rental land on you, seat belts are mandatory in every seat, and a child seat is required for under-fours, which we can fit on request.
Rent the Accent 2025 if you want the Accent's practicality and low running cost but you've always found the cabin too basic. The newer dashboard, the bigger screen, and the larger boot make this the version worth the latest-year rate, especially for a family doing airport runs and daily errands. It's the sensible sedan that no longer feels like a penalty inside.
Step up to an Elantra if you want real pace and a quieter, more substantial highway drive, or more cabin presence. Drop to an older Accent or a budget car if you're driving little and the rate is all that matters, since the practical bones are similar and the savings are real. But if you're choosing within the Accent line and the cabin was your hesitation, the 2025 is the one we'd point you to.
