Away from that one scenario, the smaller engine barely registers. Holding 120 km/h on Sheikh Zayed Road is unstressed, and the car settles into a cruise without hunting for gears. Most Dubai driving is stop-start streets and steady highway stretches, not repeated fast passes, so the Accent covers the job it is actually asked to do. Aim the front vents at yourself, give it four or five minutes, and a car that read close to 48 degrees when you climb back in settles into something comfortable. Rear passengers wait a little longer on the hottest days, which is normal for the class, and parking in shade when you can shortens that first stretch considerably.

Who this fits, and when to step up to the Elantra

Book the Accent 2024 if your Dubai trip is built around commuting, airport runs and city errands, and you want the cheapest sensible automatic on the lot without giving up boot space to its bigger relative. It parks into tighter bays than the Elantra, costs less to feed, and does the job for a driver 25 or older.

Step up to the Elantra in two cases. If loaded highway overtaking is a regular part of your driving rather than the exception, the extra power changes how relaxed that manoeuvre feels. And if four adults with full luggage each is your normal picture, the Elantra's added width buys shoulder room the Accent cannot match. It is front-wheel drive only, so keep either car on tarmac and away from Hatta's tracks. For a couple, a small family or a solo renter running the usual Dubai week, the Accent does the same job as its bigger sibling for less money and an easier parking bay every time.
