Honda Accord 2024 - start from 156 AED / day

We deliver the Honda Accord 2024 to your door anywhere in Dubai, usually within one to two hours of booking, so the car reaches your building or hotel without a trip to a rental desk. What you're renting is the newest version of Honda's midsize saloon, the one with the wider dashboard screen and the cleaner, quieter cabin. This page is about whether that mix of space, calm highway manners and low fuel use makes it the right car for your week, or whether you'd be better off a size down or a size up.

The cabin and the screen are the real change this year

The 2024 car carries a bigger central touchscreen and a tidier layout than the model it replaced, and you notice it most in traffic. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect without a cable, the climate controls stay as physical dials rather than menu taps, and the digital driver display is easy to read at a glance. None of it is luxury. The plastics are sensible and there's no massaging or cooling theatre, but everything you touch on a daily drive works the first time, which is more than you can say for a lot of cars at this size and rate.

Up front there's proper room for two tall adults, and the driving position is low and settled rather than the commanding view you get from a crossover. If you want to sit up high and look over traffic, this isn't that car.

The back seat and boot are where it pulls ahead

This is the strongest argument for the Accord over a compact sedan. At nearly five metres long, the cabin gives rear passengers real legroom, the kind where two adults sit behind two adults for an hour to Abu Dhabi without anyone complaining. There are rear air vents, which matter a lot in summer, and three across the back works for a short hop if not a long one.

The boot swallows airport luggage properly. Two large hard cases and a couple of soft bags go in without folding the seats, so a family of four arriving at DXB or DWC with a full week's luggage won't be playing tetris on the kerb. That's the practical reason people pick this over a Civic or a Corolla for an airport run.

What it's like to actually drive in Dubai

The 1.5 litre turbo four makes 194 hp and sends it through a CVT, and the character is smooth rather than quick. Pull onto Sheikh Zayed Road and it gathers speed cleanly, sits at 120 without fuss, and overtakes when you ask, but flatten the throttle and the CVT drones a little before the speed catches up. It cruises beautifully. It does not feel sporty, and if that's what you're after, this is the wrong shape of car.

For the long highway stretches, airport runs and the daily mall loop most renters actually do, that calm tuning is exactly right. The ride takes Dubai's speed bumps and expansion joints without thumping, and at 134 mm of ground clearance it sits low, so steep mall ramps and the odd raised kerb need a little care. A sedan this long also asks for more thought in tight multi-storey bays and on Marina U-turns than a small hatch would, though the light steering and good visibility make it easy once you're used to the length.

There's also a 2.0 litre hybrid version of the Accord in the region, rated higher at 204 hp and far thriftier. If the unit you're offered is the hybrid, take it for long-distance weeks. For normal city use, either is fine.

Fuel, range and the cost of a week

This is where the Accord quietly saves you money. The petrol car's 56 litre tank and a real-world figure near 17.3 km/L give a usable range around the 880 km mark, so one fill covers most of a city week with airport runs folded in. The hybrid stretches further on its 48.5 litre tank, closer to 24.9 km/L, so a long-haul week of intercity trips can pass on a single tank. Either way you're not at the pump every few days.

Heat, tolls and the rules that fall on you

Park this car in open sun at 45 degrees and the cabin bakes like any other, but the AC pulls it down quickly once you're moving, and the rear vents mean back-seat passengers aren't left to suffer while the front cools. For families that difference is worth more than any spec on the sheet.

Two practical notes. Salik toll gates charge to the car, and those tolls plus any RTA fines during your rental pass to you, so the Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail routes add up over a busy week. And seatbelts are mandatory in every seat, front and back.

So who should rent it

Rent the Accord 2024 if you want a roomy, frugal saloon for a family or a stretch of long airport and intercity runs, and you value a quiet, modern cabin over outright pace. It's the sensible long-distance choice in its class, and the hybrid version makes it cheaper to run than almost anything its size.

Size down to a Civic or a Corolla if it's just one or two people doing short city errands and the Accord's length and boot are more car than you need. Size up to a Honda CR-V or a similar SUV if you want the high seating position, the clearance for rougher tracks, or folding seats for bulky loads. For the family that mostly needs space, comfort and low fuel bills on Dubai's highways, the Accord is hard to beat at this rate.
