Rent the Mustang if you want a weekend, a cruise, and a car that makes the trip feel like an occasion. Two people, light luggage, a stretch of highway and the cooler months for the roof down. It looks the part and sounds it, and the EcoBoost gives you most of the theatre without the V8's fuel bill.

Skip it if you need to move four adults, carry real luggage, or do daily runs across town. For that, a sedan or crossover will be cheaper to run, easier to park, and far less of a compromise.
