Cadillac Escalade 2025 - start from 1,304 AED / day

We rent the Cadillac Escalade 2025 in Dubai with 250 km a day included, which is the number that matters before anything else on a car this size, because you'll cover ground in it and you don't want a meter ticking on every airport run. This is the full-size American flagship: a 6.2-litre V8, three rows, and the long curved dashboard display that defines the latest cabin. People book it to arrive somewhere and be seen arriving, and that's the honest case for it. What follows is who that suits, where the size and the thirst bite in Dubai, and when a smaller luxury SUV is the smarter call.

The cabin is the reason to book it

The headline on the 2025 car is the screen. A single curved panel runs across the dash, blending the driver display and the centre infotainment into one piece of glass, and it looks expensive because it is. The materials back it up: real metal trim, soft leather, ambient lighting that you actually notice at night. For a wedding entrance, a hotel pull-up, or collecting a client from the airport, the Escalade does the job a sedan can't. It has presence. Six people step out of it and the car still looks like it's holding court.

The tech isn't just for show. Wireless phone mirroring, a strong sound system, and rear screens on most configurations keep a back seat full of kids quiet on a longer drive. The front seats cool as well as heat, which in a Dubai July is the feature you'll thank it for daily.

Does my family and luggage actually fit

Yes, and this is where the Escalade pulls ahead of nearly everything else we rent. The standard car seats seven with second-row captain's chairs, and the third row is a real seat, not a token bench for children. Two adults can sit back there for a half-hour run without complaint, which most "seven-seaters" can't claim.

Behind that third row there's still proper boot space for a weekend's bags. Fold the third row and you're into moving-house territory: large cases, golf bags, a stroller and the shopping all at once. For a big family arriving at the airport with a full trolley of luggage, this is the car that swallows it without anyone holding a bag on their lap. If your group is six or seven with cases, nothing in a smaller class comes close.

Cooling a big cabin in the heat

A cabin this large takes a moment longer to cool than a hatchback, simply because there's more air to move. The Escalade handles it well: vents feed all three rows, and after a few minutes parked in 45-degree sun the front settles quickly while the rear catches up. Tell rear passengers to set their own zone and the third row won't be the hot seat it is in lesser SUVs. Park in shade where you can, and a full cabin stays comfortable on the longest summer drive.

How often you'll be at the pump

Honestly: more than you'd like. A 6.2-litre V8 hauling nearly two and a half tonnes drinks fuel, and in stop-start Dubai traffic you should expect somewhere around 15 litres per 100 km, worse if you're heavy on the highway. The tank is large at about 91 litres, so range stays sensible at roughly 600 km, but a week of school runs, mall trips and a couple of airport collections will have you filling up two or three times. Fuel is cheap here, which softens the blow, but go in knowing this car is not economical and never pretends to be. If running cost is high on your list, that alone should point you elsewhere.

Living with the size on Dubai roads

The Escalade is happiest on Sheikh Zayed Road and the E11, where it cruises and overtakes without effort and the cabin stays library-quiet at speed. Long airport runs to DXB or the drive out to DWC are exactly its element.

The size cuts the other way in town. At over 5.3 metres long and more than two metres wide, it does not slot into a tight Marina bay or a narrow mall ramp the way a mid-size SUV does. The 360-degree cameras and parking sensors are genuinely useful here, not gimmicks, but you'll still want to pick the end spaces and take U-turns wide. Speed bumps are no trouble given the ride height. If most of your week is dense city parking, the Escalade will test your patience.

A few Dubai rules apply to any rental: Salik tolls are charged to you, and any RTA fines during your booking pass to you as well. Seat belts are required in every row, and children under four need a proper child seat, which is easy to fit given the space. On security terms for a vehicle in this value bracket, stricter conditions can apply, so confirm the details with us at booking.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Escalade if you want presence and space in one car: a wedding or event arrival, a hotel pull-up that turns heads, or a large family and full luggage that no smaller SUV will hold in comfort. For six or seven people with cases, it's the obvious choice and nothing else we stock does the job as well.

Skip it if your week is mostly solo city driving and tight parking, or if fuel and easy manoeuvring matter more to you than the statement. In that case a mid-size luxury SUV gives you the badge and the comfort without the length, the thirst, or the hunt for a bay that fits. The Escalade earns its keep when the size is the point. When it isn't, you're paying to wrestle a land-yacht through a car park.
