Picture a family of six flying in for Eid week, four big cases and a folded pushchair between them, and one car meant to take the lot from the terminal to a villa in Jumeirah without a second trip. That job is what the Cadillac Escalade 2024 is built for, and it's most of why people rent one in Dubai. We bring it to your terminal, hotel or villa, usually within one to two hours of booking. What this page settles is whether you'll actually use the space you're paying for, because the Escalade only earns its keep when it's full. Two people and a weekend bag will rattle around inside it and drink fuel for the privilege.
Start with the boot, because for most people booking this car that's the whole point. Behind the third row you get around 722 litres, which is large for a seven-seat SUV and takes a proper airport run better than almost anything in the class. That's the number that matters when every seat is occupied. Fold the rearmost bench and it opens to roughly 2,060 litres, and drop the middle chairs too and you're near 3,400.
Be honest with yourself about the full-house scenario, though. This is the standard-length Escalade, not the long ESV, so seven passengers with seven hard cases at once will still leave you tucking soft bags into footwells. For most trips that's a non-issue, since a group of six rarely brings six large suitcases. If you genuinely need maximum luggage with all seven seats in use, the longer ESV exists for exactly that and I'd point you there instead.
This is where the size pays you back. The Escalade seats seven, usually two captain's chairs in the middle and a bench at the back, and the rear row is the honest surprise. Most seven-seaters give you a back bench a child tolerates for twenty minutes and no adult wants. The Escalade's third row takes grown adults on a real run across town, and the middle chairs slide and tip forward so climbing back there doesn't need a contortion act. On a school-run or a group dinner nobody draws the short straw and rides with their knees up.

The 6.2 V8 is the honest cost of all this space. Cadillac's combined figure is about 14.7 litres per 100 km, but real Dubai driving runs higher, closer to 17 or 18 in stop-start city traffic with the AC working flat out. The 91-litre tank gives you decent range between fills, yet over seven days that fuel is real money, not a rounding error, so budget for it.
Add the rest of the running costs before you book. Salik tolls during your rental are yours, and any RTA fines pass to you as the driver. Your allowance is 250 km a day, which covers city errands and the odd Abu Dhabi run without thinking, then it's AED 0.5 for each kilometre over. As a luxury rental the Escalade does take a deposit, so this isn't the no-deposit option, and you'll need to be 21 to take the keys.
On the move the V8 hides the weight well. It pushes two and a half tonnes down Sheikh Zayed Road with plenty in reserve for an overtake, and at a cruise it stays quiet and settled rather than feeling like the small van it nearly is.
Size is the daily reality. At nearly 5.4 metres long and just over two metres wide, tight multi-storey bays and Marina tower ramps ask for patience and the parking cameras, so factor that in if your week is mostly city parking. The roughly 203 mm of clearance means speed bumps and steep mall ramps don't trouble it, but treat that as ride height for the road, not a licence to chase dunes. This is a presence car, not a desert tool. On the heat, a cabin this big needs a strong system to beat a July afternoon, and it has one. The climate control pulls the temperature down steadily after hours parked in the open, and rear passengers get their own vents, so the third row gets real cold air instead of whatever drifts back from the front.
Rent the Cadillac Escalade 2024 if you're moving six or seven people, if you've a genuine luggage run to make, or if arriving in something with this much presence is part of the trip. Little else gives you a third row this usable and a boot this size in one car. If you need maximum luggage with every seat full, step up to the ESV. If you want the space without the badge premium, a Chevrolet Tahoe shares the same bones and engine for less shine, and if a smoother, quieter European drive matters more than cabin drama, look at a Mercedes GLS.
Skip it if it's one or two of you running errands. You'll spend the week parking a five-metre SUV and feeding a V8 for space you never touch, when a mid-size crossover does that job for a fraction of the fuel and far less parking stress.
