Its rivals still frame the bigger decision. A Chevrolet Tahoe shares the same platform and engine for noticeably less money, so take that if the badge alone isn't worth paying for. A Mercedes GLS drives with more polish but a tighter third row and less occasion inside. Above the Escalade sits a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, for the days the back seat is the entire trip.

Seven seats, and what actually fits

Seven seats is usually the reason people book an Escalade, and the layout here is two captain's chairs in the middle row ahead of a three-person bench at the back.
