Putting a Cadillac Escalade 2021 on a Dubai driveway in 1 to 2 hours is the easy part. The harder question, and the one most renters underestimate, is what it's like to actually live with something this size for a week. We rent it because plenty of people genuinely need the space and the presence, but you should book it knowing what you're driving. This is a five-and-a-half-metre full-size SUV with seven real seats and a 6.2-litre V8. Our take: if the group is large or the occasion calls for arriving in something imposing, it's the right call. If it's mostly two of you parking in town, you'll spend the week wrestling a car you didn't need.
At 5382 mm long and 2059 mm wide, the Escalade is one of the bigger things you can park in a Marina tower. The older mall car parks with their tight bays and the narrow spiral ramps at some residential towers ask for patience and a couple of extra mirror checks. You feel the width on a U-turn and you plan your bay rather than diving into the first gap.
What saves it is the tech. This generation's surround-view cameras and parking sensors are genuinely good, and the high driving position lets you place the front corners with confidence. After a day you stop thinking about it. The 203 mm of ground clearance also means speed bumps and steep mall entrances pass underneath without a scrape, which is more than some lowered sedans manage here.

The seating is the reason to rent this car. Seven adults travel properly, and the third row isn't the usual penalty box. There's real legroom back there and dedicated air vents, so the people in the rearmost seats aren't suffering while the front two stay comfortable. For a large family or a group heading out together, nobody draws the short straw.
Luggage is where you have to choose. With all seven seats up you've got roughly 722 litres behind the third row, fine for a weekend of soft bags but tight if seven people each bring a full case. Fold the third row and you open up to around 2000 litres; drop everything flat and it's close to 3400 litres. For an airport collection with a full house, plan on using that third row for people or cases, not both at once.
The 6.2-litre V8 makes 420 hp and pulls this two-and-a-half-tonne SUV to 100 km/h in about 6.6 seconds, which feels faintly ridiculous for the size. On Sheikh Zayed Road it overtakes without drama and the 10-speed automatic keeps it hushed at a 120 cruise. It's a relaxing thing to cover distance in.
The honest part: an engine this big drinks. Expect somewhere around 14 to 16 litres per 100 km in mixed Dubai driving, and more if you're loaded up and stuck in traffic with the AC on full. The 91-litre tank means you're not at the pump constantly, but you'll fill more often than you would in anything smaller. Build fuel into your budget for the week. If the running cost is going to nag at you, this isn't the car.
A cabin this large is a lot of air to bring down on a Dubai afternoon, so the climate system matters more than usual. The good news is it's tri-zone with vents feeding all three rows, so back-seat passengers aren't baking while the driver's comfortable. Left in the sun it heats up like any car here, but a couple of minutes moving and the whole interior settles. With a full load in July, those rear outlets are the feature that actually earns its place.
Salik tolls are charged to you as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during the rental are passed to the renter, so keep an eye on the limits on the E11. A child seat is required by law for under-fours and we'll fit one on request. You can rent from age 18 with us, where much of the market holds out for 23 on a car this size, and we take debit cards, cash, and pay-on-delivery alongside the usual options. Your daily rate includes 250 km, with extra distance charged at 3 AED per km if you go over.
Rent the Escalade 2021 if you genuinely need seven seats with presence: a family group, a wedding or a VIP airport run, or a week where arriving in something substantial is part of the point. The space, the power, and the cabin all back up the badge, and the slightly older plate keeps the rate sensible.
Skip it if it's two of you doing city errands or if the fuel bill will bother you. A mid-size SUV parks more easily and costs far less to run, and for five people without much luggage you're paying for two seats and a V8 you won't use. And if you want the same footprint with an even longer load bay for cargo, ask about the extended ESV body instead. For the seven-up mission, though, this is the car that does it.
