Bmw X7 2024 - start from 835 AED / day

Seven seats, a cabin that hushes Sheikh Zayed Road, and the latest BMW face: the BMW X7 2024 is the SUV families ask for when they want a school run and an airport pickup to feel like the same comfortable trip. We deliver it to your door in Dubai inside 1 to 2 hours, so you can have it parked outside the villa before the guests land. The facelift sharpened the front end and brought the bigger curved display and updated cabin tech, so this is the freshest version of the seven-seat luxury SUV. The real question this page settles is simpler: is the X7 the right amount of car for your week, or are you paying for size you won't use?

The 2024 update, and why it matters here

The mid-cycle refresh is the reason to pick the 2024 over the older car. The split headlight face is the obvious change, but the part that matters daily is inside. The curved screen runs the newer operating system, the climate and seat controls moved into the display, and the materials feel a notch richer up front. None of that changes how it drives. If you're choosing between this and the 2023, the 2024 buys you the current cabin and graphics, not a different car underneath.

Power and pace on Dubai roads

Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo straight-six with mild-hybrid assist, 375 HP plus a small 12 HP electric boost, driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic and BMW's xDrive system. On paper that's 0 to 100 in 5.8 seconds and a top speed near 209 km/h, and on the road it feels exactly that quick. A car this large overtaking on the E11 without drama is the headline. The straight-six is smooth and quiet at a cruise, and the air suspension keeps the body flat through a fast sweep. For most renters the takeaway is calm: there's always more than enough in reserve, so you're never working the car.

Does my family and luggage actually fit

This is where the X7 earns its keep, and where you should be honest with yourself. It's a genuine seven-seater, and the third row is usable by adults for short hops, not just kids, which is rare in this class. Behind the third row the boot is modest, enough for a couple of soft bags with all seven seats up. Fold the back row and you get a proper cargo bay for a family's airport luggage. The catch: a full house of seven plus everyone's suitcases won't work for a DXB run. Carry five or six with the rear seats folded and the X7 swallows the lot easily. Carry seven and pack light, or make two trips.

How often you'll stop to refuel

A two-tonne luxury SUV with a strong six is never going to sip fuel, and the X7 doesn't pretend to. Expect roughly 6 to 7.5 km per litre in city traffic, better on an open highway run. The upside is the 83-litre tank. Even on heavy city driving that's around 740 km between fills, so most renters top up once a week rather than living at the pump. If a low fuel bill is high on your list, this isn't the car, and that's a fair reason to look elsewhere. If you want the comfort and the seats, the tank size keeps refuelling from becoming a chore.

Heat, parking and the Dubai realities

In a June afternoon at 45 degrees, cabin size works against you, but the X7 has the firepower to cope. The climate system pulls a baking parked cabin down to comfortable quickly, there are rear vents for the second and third rows, and the cooled front seats take the sting out of hot leather. Everyone in the car stays comfortable, which on a family trip matters more than almost anything.

Parking is the honest downside. At two metres wide and over five metres long, the X7 is a handful in Marina towers and tight multi-storey bays. The cameras and sensors are excellent and the air suspension lowers for easier access, but you'll still pick your spaces carefully and take wider lines on a ramp. Out on the highway and on airport runs to DXB or DWC, that size turns into stability and calm, so it pays off where it counts.

A few rental facts to keep in mind: Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your hire pass to you, seat belts are required in every seat, and children under four need a child seat. None of that is unusual for Dubai, but it's worth knowing before you book.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the X7 2024 if you want near-limo comfort for a family of five or six, the occasional seventh seat, and a car that feels quick on long Dubai drives. It's the SUV to have when the trip mixes school runs, dinners and airport pickups, and you want all of them to feel premium. If you need to carry seven people and all their luggage at once, a GLS or a full-size body-on-frame SUV gives you more boot behind the third row. If it's purely seven seats on a budget you're after, a cheaper seven-seat crossover will do the job for far less fuel and a far easier park. Choose the X7 for the comfort and the pace, not because it's the biggest box on the lot.
