Find a public rapid charger and the car pulls up to 150 kW, enough for a 10 to 80 percent top-up in around half an hour, closer to a coffee break than a full stop. Dubai's public charging network keeps growing but is still thinner on the ground than its petrol stations, so plan the stop instead of assuming one will turn up nearby.

Running cost is the real financial case here. Electricity per kilometre comes in well below petrol, which is why the e-tron and its Q8 e-tron successors keep showing up on this fleet despite the deposit and the planning they ask for.
