Need a seven-seat SUV that carries the whole family without feeling like a van? The Audi Q7 2023 is the one we hand over most often for that job, and we deliver it to your door in Dubai inside one to two hours. This is the latest version of Audi's full-size SUV, with the freshened cabin and the quiet, settled ride that makes a long week of school runs and airport pickups easy. The real question this page answers is simple: does your family and your luggage actually fit, and what does a car this size cost you in fuel and parking patience around Dubai. We'll be straight about all three.
The Q7 seats seven, and unlike a lot of SUVs that claim a third row, this one is usable. Two adults can sit back there for a 40-minute run to the airport without complaint, and kids will happily live in it all week. The honest limit is luggage. With all seven seats up, the boot drops to around 385 litres, which is enough for soft bags and a couple of backpacks, not a full set of hard cases. So for seven people plus a week of airport luggage, something has to give.
Fold the third row and you get a proper estate boot, roughly 780 litres, which swallows the weekly shop and several large cases easily. That's the configuration most of our renters actually use: five seats, big boot, third row tucked away for the day the in-laws arrive. Drop the second row too and you're near 1,900 litres for the occasional furniture run. The middle row slides and reclines, so you balance third-row legroom against boot space depending on who's aboard.

The 2.0-litre turbo with its 48V mild hybrid is the surprise of the car. On paper a four-cylinder in a five-metre SUV sounds underdone, but 259 hp and the smooth eight-speed make it feel effortless on Sheikh Zayed Road. It reaches 100 in 6.9 seconds and cruises at the limit without strain. The mild hybrid quietly shuts the engine off in stop-start traffic, which is where it saves you fuel. You won't feel slow merging or overtaking, and the quattro all-wheel drive keeps it planted in a crosswind on the E11.
Cabin cooling matters more than outright pace in a Dubai summer, and a big SUV that's been baking in a mall lot is a real test. The Q7 has vents for all three rows, and the front blowers pull the cabin down from oven temperatures within a few minutes, with the rear and third-row outlets keeping kids in the back comfortable rather than just the driver. Park in shade where you can and it cools faster, but even after an afternoon in the open at 45 degrees, this cabin recovers quickly. That's a genuine difference from a smaller car with a single front unit struggling to reach the back seats.
At nearly two metres wide and over five metres long, the Q7 is a big thing to thread through a tight Marina multi-storey. The bays feel narrow and the corkscrew ramps demand patience, so use the cameras and the parking sensors, both of which are sharp. Once you're used to the size, the visibility is good and the turning is better than the length suggests.
The standout for Dubai is the air suspension. It raises the car for steep mall ramps and rough ground, then settles low and flat at highway speed. Over the speed bumps that pepper residential streets and car-park entries, it just glides where a firmer SUV would thump. For a family carrying tired kids, that comfort is the whole point. It also means you won't scrape the nose on the aggressive ramps that catch lower cars out.
A combined figure near 10.7 L/100km is honest for a car this big, and real Dubai driving, lots of AC and stop-start, will sit a bit higher than that. With the 85-litre tank you're looking at roughly 700 to 800 km between fills in mixed use, so a typical week of city errands and a couple of airport runs needs one or two stops, not a fuel stop every other day. Keep in mind that you cover Salik tolls and any RTA fines yourself, and they pass through to the renter, so stick to the limits on the E11. Seat belts are mandatory in every row and children under four need a child seat, which we can fit before delivery.
Rent the Q7 2023 if you're a family of five or six who wants room, quiet and air-suspension comfort for a week of Dubai driving and airport runs, with the third row there for the days you need it. It's the right call when comfort and space matter more than fuel bills. If it's just two of you doing city errands, this is more SUV than you need and a smaller crossover will park easier and drink less. And if you genuinely need seven seats plus a full load of hard luggage at the same time, plan to fold a row or look at a larger people-mover. For most families, though, this is the easy, comfortable seven-seater we'd put you in.
