Audi Q7 2023 - start from 564 AED / day

For the renter doing back-to-back airport runs and ferrying guests around Dubai in comfort, the Audi Q7 2023 does the job most full-size SUVs only half manage, and we'll deliver it to your door within one to two hours. This is Audi's large seven-seat SUV, with the quiet, settled ride and the polished cabin that make a long day of pickups feel easy. The argument for it is comfort and presence: a calm, refined three-row SUV that carries people in business-class quiet, with a third row you can actually call on when the group grows. It's a lot of car, and below we're honest about what that costs you in fuel and in parking patience.

Comfort first: what it's like to spend a day in

The Q7's real strength is how unbothered it feels. The cabin is hushed at highway speed, the seats are supportive over long stints, and the materials are a clear step above a mainstream large SUV. For shuttling clients from DXB to a hotel, or running the family across town and back, that refinement is the whole point. Nobody arrives frazzled.

The 2.0-litre turbo with its 48-volt mild hybrid is the quiet surprise. A four-cylinder in a five-metre SUV sounds underdone on paper, but 252 hp and the smooth eight-speed make it feel effortless. It reaches 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and cruises at the limit on Sheikh Zayed Road without strain, while the mild-hybrid system shuts the engine off in stop-start traffic to claw back a little fuel. The quattro all-wheel drive keeps it planted in a crosswind on the E11.

Does seven really mean seven, and where do the bags go

The Q7 seats seven, and unlike a lot of SUVs that claim a third row, this one is usable. Two adults can sit back there for a 40-minute airport run without complaint, and kids will happily live in it all week. The honest limit is luggage. With all seven seats up, the boot drops to around 295 litres, fine for soft bags and backpacks but not a full set of hard cases. Seven people plus a week's airport luggage means something has to give.

Fold the third row and you get a proper estate boot of roughly 770 litres, which swallows the weekly shop and several large cases easily. That's the setup most of our renters actually use: five seats, big boot, the back row tucked away until the day the extra guests arrive. The second row slides, so you can trade third-row legroom against boot space depending on who's aboard.

Cooling a big cabin in the heat

A large SUV that's been baking in a mall lot is a real test of any AC, and this is where a car at the Q7's level pulls ahead. There are vents for all three rows, so the front blowers pull the cabin down from oven temperatures within a few minutes while the rear and third-row outlets keep passengers in the back comfortable rather than just the driver. Park in shade where you can and it cools faster, but even after an afternoon in the open at 45 degrees the cabin recovers quickly. That's a genuine difference from a smaller car with a single front unit struggling to reach the back seats.

Parking, ramps and the running cost

At nearly two metres wide and over five metres long, the Q7 is a big thing to thread through a tight Marina multi-storey. The bays feel narrow and the corkscrew ramps demand patience, so lean on the cameras and parking sensors, both of which are sharp. Once you're used to the size the visibility is good and it turns better than the length suggests. Take the steeper mall ramps and the aggressive speed bumps with a little care so you don't catch the nose.

A combined figure near 10.7 L/100 km is honest for a car this big, and real Dubai driving, with constant AC and stop-start, will sit a bit higher. On the 85-litre tank you're looking at roughly 700 to 800 km between fills in mixed use, so a typical week of errands and a couple of airport runs needs one or two stops, not a fuel stop every other day. Salik tolls and any RTA fines pass to you as the renter, so hold the limits on the E11. Seat belts are mandatory in every row and children under four need a child seat, which we can fit before delivery.

Who should rent it

Rent the Q7 2023 if you want a refined, full-size SUV for airport runs and carrying people in comfort across a Dubai week, with a third row that's genuinely there when you need it. It's the right call when quiet, space and presence matter more than the fuel bill.

If it's just two of you doing city errands, this is more SUV than you need, and a smaller crossover parks easier and drinks less. And if you genuinely need seven seats plus a full load of hard luggage at the same time, plan to fold a row or step up to a dedicated people-mover. For most renters who want room and refinement, though, the Q7 is the easy, comfortable choice.
