Which Rolls for the moment

Start with what the moment needs to do, not the spec sheet.

For a wedding entrance or a hotel arrival where the car is the photo, the Phantom is the one. It's the longest and most formal, the rear doors are coach (rear-hinged) so the exit is unhurried and clean, and the back seat is built to be sat in rather than driven from. If the day runs long, the extended-wheelbase version gives the rear more room again.

The Ghost is the everyday Rolls in the range, and it's the one we'd point most people toward. It carries the same presence at a lower volume, it's easier to place outside a restaurant or a Downtown hotel, and four adults travel in comfort. For a proposal or a milestone dinner at one of the Palm hotels, the Ghost does the job without the Phantom's full theatre.

The Cullinan is the call when the group or the luggage is real. It's the SUV, it seats up to five, and the high seating suits a desert-edge shoot or a day that moves between venues with bags in tow.

Then the open cars. The Dawn is the convertible and the Wraith the fixed-roof coupe, both two-door, both built around the front seats. They're the picks for a coastline drive along the Jumeirah strip or a couple rather than a party. The rear seats are occasional. The Spectre is the electric coupe, near silent, and worth asking about if a quiet arrival matters.

Driving it yourself, or being driven

This is the second decision, and it changes which car suits you.

If the point is the rear seat, the Phantom or the long-wheelbase Ghost, take the chauffeur. You're paying for the lounge in the back and the arrival you don't have to think about, which you can't have if you're the one parking it. For weddings and corporate arrivals, most of our bookings go this way and we'd recommend it.

Self-drive suits the Wraith, the Dawn, the Spectre, and a Ghost you actually want to drive. You'll need to be comfortable placing a very wide, very long car into Dubai parking, and a multi-storey ramp is not where a Rolls relaxes, so valet at the destination solves most of that. We'll walk you through the controls at handover, because the footprint takes a minute.

Delivery, handover, and what's included

We bring the car to you, with free delivery and collection across Dubai, and we'll meet an arriving flight at DXB or DWC so the car is waiting. For a wedding, tell us when the photos are scheduled and we'll work back from that.

The Salik toll tag is fitted, comprehensive insurance is included, and there's no deposit blocked on your card, which on a car at this value is the part most renters expect and don't get. Mileage is unlimited, so a run out to Abu Dhabi for the reception doesn't change anything. Cross-border trips into Oman need arranging in advance, so ask before you plan one. The cooling holds up through a Dubai July, which matters when the car sits running outside a venue between shots.
