It's a turbo four rather than the flat-six older Boxsters carried, so it's flexible low down and gruffer up top than sound purists remember. Two seats, two boots, and what fits

Roof-down heat and the cabin

There's less volume for the air conditioning to fight, so after the car's sat in 45-degree heat, the vents pull the temperature down fast once you're moving, and both seats get the full effect since there's nobody behind them competing for airflow. There are no rear vents, which in a strict two-seater costs you nothing.

Be honest with yourself about the roof, though. Dropping it here is a dawn, evening or winter activity, not a midday-in-August one. From roughly November through March you can run open for most of the day and enjoy every minute of it. Through summer, keep roof-down driving to early morning and after sunset, and never leave the top down while the car sits parked at noon, since the sun bakes a cabin faster than you'd expect and you don't want to climb back in to a scalding seat.
