Bentley Continental GT 2023 - start from 2,417 AED / day

Want presence on Sheikh Zayed Road without the harshness of a stripped-out supercar? We rent the Bentley Continental GT 2023 in Dubai, and on the no-deposit option you can have one at your door in one to two hours. This is a hand-built grand tourer, not a track toy. The cabin is hushed and beautifully finished, the pace is genuine, and there's enough drama in the way it pulls to make every airport run feel like an occasion. What this page sorts out is whether the GT is the right pick for your week, or whether a two-seat supercar or an SUV would actually serve you better.

What the Continental GT 2023 actually is

A two-door coupe with 2+2 seating and all-wheel drive, built to cover long distances in quiet comfort at high speed. The version most people will drive here runs the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, good for 542 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed near 318 km/h. There's a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 above it at 650 hp for buyers who want the headline figure, but the V8 is no slouch and it's the lighter, slightly more eager car to drive.

The eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and adjustable air suspension are what set the GT apart from a supercar. It rides softly when you want it to and tightens up when you push, so a two-hour cruise to Abu Dhabi doesn't beat you up. That's the whole point of the thing.

Cruising and presence on the highway

This is where the GT earns its money. On the E11 it sits flat and quiet at a fast cruise, and overtaking is instant because the torque arrives low and the all-wheel drive puts it down cleanly even on a hot, polished road surface. You get the pace without the nervousness, which is exactly what a long drive between the emirates needs.

It also draws eyes. Pull up to a hotel forecourt or a wedding and the GT does the job a supercar does, but you arrive relaxed instead of sore. The flip side is the law doesn't care how good the car looks. Salik tolls run to your account, and any speed-camera fine or RTA penalty during the rental passes to you, so watch the limits. Belts are mandatory for everyone on board.

Parking and the width problem

Be honest with yourself about the size. At 2187 mm across the mirrors this is a wide car, and Dubai's tighter multi-storey bays and Marina ramps will test you. Older mall structures with narrow pillars are the worst of it. You'll want the parking sensors and camera, and you'll spend a few extra seconds lining up bays that a hatchback would ignore.

Ground clearance is 110 mm, and it's adjustable, which helps. Raise the suspension before a steep ramp or an aggressive speed bump and you'll clear most of what Dubai throws at you. Take those bumps slowly anyway. A coupe this long and low scrapes if you get casual.

Boot space and who sits in the back

The boot swallows a couple of soft bags and a medium case comfortably, enough for two people on a week away or a luggage run to DXB or DWC. It isn't an SUV. Three large hard cases and a full family of suitcases won't go, so plan around two travellers.

The rear seats are real seats only in the technical sense. They're fine for a short hop with kids or for bags, but no adult wants to ride back there from the airport. If you regularly carry four grown adults with luggage, this is the wrong car and you should size up.

Heat, the cabin and refuelling

Climb in after the GT has baked in a 45-degree car park and the first job is the AC. The cabin is well sealed and the climate system pulls it down steadily, with proper rear vents for the back seats, though like any large dark interior it takes a few minutes of running before the leather stops radiating heat. Park in shade where you can and start it remotely if your booking includes that.

On fuel, don't kid yourself. Real Dubai driving with the V8 lands around 5 to 7.6 km/L, and the W12 drinks more. The 90-litre tank gives you a useful range, up to 744 km on the V8 if you're gentle, but in city traffic and at speed you'll be visiting the premium pump more than you'd like. Budget for it. This is a luxury cruiser, not an economy car, and it never pretended otherwise.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Continental GT if you want an effortless, glamorous long-distance drive with serious presence: a couple heading to Abu Dhabi for the weekend, an arrival that needs to make a statement, or anyone who values a quiet, exquisite cabin over outright sharpness. The V8 is the one I'd hand most people. It's quick enough, sounds great and feels a touch lighter on its feet than the W12.

Skip it if you're chasing raw thrills, in which case a two-seat supercar will feel more alive, or if you need to move four adults and their luggage, where an SUV does the job the GT can't. For everyone else who wants a fast, beautiful car that drives like a limousine when you ask it to, this is the pick. Note that stricter security terms may apply on a car at this level, so confirm the details at booking.
