The Porsche 911 2025 sitting in our fleet isn't just last year's car with a new sticker. This is the facelifted generation, and under that familiar shape it picked up bigger turbochargers borrowed from the previous GTS and a new intercooler lifted from the Turbo models, which together push a real, verified gain in output over the car it replaces. We deliver it to your hotel, home or terminal within one to two hours of booking, finished here in black. What hasn't changed is the shape of the decision you're making: rear-wheel drive, a fixed roof, an automatic gearbox, and a cabin built for two people who know exactly what they're renting. This page works out whether the update is worth caring about, and who the car actually suits for a week in Dubai.
The engine is still a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six sitting behind the rear axle, but Porsche reworked the hardware around it for this facelift. The turbochargers now come from the outgoing Carrera GTS, and the intercooler moved to a position borrowed from the 911 Turbo, mounted above the engine under the decklid grille. The result is 394 PS, or 388 hp, at 6,500 rpm and 450 Nm of torque, a genuine gain over the pre-facelift base car rather than a marketing rounding error. Drive goes to the rear wheels only, through an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic, the sole gearbox offered on this car. Zero to 100 km/h takes about 4.1 seconds, closer to 3.9 in Sport Plus, and top speed is 294 km/h.
None of that changes how the car behaves at a valet stand or crawling down Sheikh Zayed Road at rush hour. It changes what happens when you finally get a clear stretch of road and put your foot down. The bigger turbos spool with less lag than the car this one replaces, so the power arrives sooner in the rev range, and the extra cooling capacity means that response holds up better on a hot afternoon than it would in the older car. That's the honest case for booking the current generation over an older 911 rather than any dramatic reinvention.

Every 911 is badged 2+2, and this one is no different: two proper seats up front, and a rear bench that's really a shelf with belts. A child on a short run, or a bag you'd rather not leave baking on the parcel shelf, both work fine back there. An adult won't thank you for more than a few minutes in that space. Fold the rear backrests flat, though, and you gain useful room, up to 264 litres between the front seats and the rear glass, which is where a second holdall or a box of shopping actually belongs.
The real luggage answer is the front boot, under the bonnet, at 132 litres. That's one cabin-sized case and a soft bag, not a hard three-piece set for two people flying in with a week's worth of clothes. Straight off a DXB arrival with full-size suitcases, plan on duffel bags or a second car for the excess. The other thing worth knowing before you book is ground clearance: the nose sits low, and steep mall ramps, tight multi-storey entrances and sharp speed bumps all want a slow, angled approach. Some cars in this generation carry an optional front-axle lift that raises the nose a few centimetres at low speed, so it's worth asking whether the one you're booking has it before you meet your first ramp.
A fixed steel roof does this car a favour once the mercury climbs. There's no fabric or glass panel sitting in the sun all day, so the cabin that greets you after a few hours in a mall car park is hot but manageable, and the front vents pull it down quickly once you're moving. Both seats get the same strong airflow, and with nothing behind them to compete for it, cooling a small cabin is one job this car does well.
With a 63-litre tank and combined economy around 10.4 L/100km, real-world range sits close to 600 km, so fuel stops aren't something you need to plan a week of driving around. The rental includes 250 km a day, and anything beyond that costs AED 0.5 per kilometre, light enough that a day trip out to Hatta and back won't show up as a surprise at return. Salik tolls and any RTA fines picked up during the hire come back to you, standard for any rental here. Minimum age to drive it is 21, and as a Porsche it rents against a refundable deposit confirmed at booking, so this isn't a no-deposit car.
Book the Porsche 911 2025 if there are one or two of you, you want the current, sharpest-breathing version of the base rear-wheel-drive car, and you're planning a week where the drive itself is the point, not just the arrival. The updated turbos and cooling make this the version of the entry 911 worth choosing over an older one, and rear-wheel drive still gives you the connected, work-for-it feel that made the badge in the first place.
Look elsewhere if you need real rear seats or a proper boot. A Cayenne carries the same badge and much of the driving character with room for a family and their cases. If open-air matters more than outright focus, the all-wheel-drive convertible 911 in our fleet trades some of this car's raw rear-wheel feel for a wider safety margin and a roof that drops. And if a road-legal track car is what you're actually after, that's a different 911 entirely, with no back seats and no frunk to speak of. For two people who want the real thing without the extremes on either side, this is the one to book.
