Pay on delivery in whatever form suits you, cards, cash, bank transfer or a tap of Apple Pay, and we'll bring the Porsche 911 2024 to your door in Dubai inside a couple of hours. This is the rare flat-six that earns its keep as more than a weekend toy. The Carrera S spec we run here is genuinely usable: quick enough to pin you to the seat on an open stretch, civilised enough to drive to dinner without a fight. The case it makes is simple. You can rent a 911 for the drive and the badge and still get a front boot that swallows a bag, which is more than most supercars manage.
The version on this listing is the 992-generation Carrera S, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six mounted behind the rear axle, sending 450 hp to the back wheels through Porsche's eight-speed PDK gearbox. The "GT3" label that floats around some descriptions doesn't match the hardware. A GT3 is a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated car with a different character and a much higher price. What you get here is the Carrera S, and honestly it's the sweeter pick for road use anyway. It pulls hard from low revs, rides far better, and doesn't punish you on a normal commute.
There's no all-wheel-drive safety net on this rear-drive S, so it rewards smoothness, but the traction systems are good enough that you're never nervous in normal driving.

This is where the money goes, so let's be straight about it. On Sheikh Zayed Road the 911 is in its element. It cruises quietly at the limit, overtakes with a flick of the right foot, and has the presence to clear the fast lane without you doing anything rude. The PDK shifts faster than you can think, and the flat-six noise builds in a way no turbo V8 quite matches.
Speed enforcement in Dubai is heavy and the cameras are everywhere, so the car's real party trick out here is how relaxed it feels at legal speeds. You don't need to break the law to enjoy it. That said, the power is always there, and any RTA fine lands on you as the renter, so keep an eye on the speedo. It climbs faster than the scenery suggests.
The thing that catches people out is ground clearance. A 911 sits low, and Dubai is full of aggressive speed bumps, steep mall ramps and the odd kerb that bites. The front lift system raises the nose at the press of a button, and you'll want it for the entrance to most basement car parks and the ramps around the Marina and Downtown towers. Use it. Scraping the front splitter is the easiest way to ruin an otherwise perfect day.
Parking is easier than the badge suggests. The car is no wider than a normal sedan and the forward view is good, though the long sloping tail takes a bay or two to judge.
A low, glassy cabin gets hot fast when it's parked in 45-degree sun, and the 911 is no exception. The good news is the climate control is strong and pulls the cabin down quickly once you're moving, with proper vents for the two front occupants. The back is a different story. Those rear seats are tiny, better for bags or a child on a short hop than an adult, and they don't get much in the way of cooling. Plan around the front two seats and you'll be comfortable.
The front boot holds 132 litres, which is one cabin-sized case or a couple of soft bags. The rear seats fold to take a bit more, so a weekend for two works. A full airport run for four people with hard cases does not. For a DXB or DWC pickup with light luggage it's fine.
Fuel-wise, the 64-litre tank and a combined figure around 8.9 L/100km look reasonable on paper, but drive it the way you'll want to and real Dubai economy drops well below that. Expect to fill up once during a normal week, more if you're using the throttle. Petrol here is cheap enough that it won't sting. Salik tolls run through the car's tag and pass to you, as do any fines, and belts are mandatory throughout.
Rent the 911 if you want the drive and the badge and you're travelling light, one or two people who'll actually use the performance and don't mind the low ride. It's the supercar you can use every day of the trip without it wearing you out.
Skip it if you need real space or a soft ride. Four adults with luggage, a family week, or anyone who wants to glide rather than feel the road should take a luxury SUV or a GT car like a Panamera instead. The 911 asks you to engage with it. If that's what you came to Dubai for, nothing in its price band does it better.
