Boot space and the airport question

The 520-litre boot is the practical reason a lot of people pick this over a smaller crossover. A couple loads two large cases plus soft bags with space left, so a DXB or DWC run with a week's luggage for two is easy. A family of four on a full holiday fits if you pack with a little thought rather than throwing everything in loose. Drop the rear seats and you get a long flat floor for flat-pack furniture or a bike. The limit is four adults with full-size suitcases, where a larger SUV or a sedan makes more sense.

Living with its size

At 4.45 metres it's mid-sized: easy in standard mall and Marina bays, but not a car you flick into a tight gap without looking. The high driving position helps you judge the corners, and the 198 mm of ground clearance clears Dubai speed bumps and steep mall ramps without scraping. It's front-wheel drive, so think of it as a road car. Soft sand and Hatta trails want a proper 4x4 instead.

The cabin is mid-sized, so the AC pulls a parked car down from oven heat to comfortable within a few minutes, faster than a big seven-seater manages. Front vents are strong. Rear passengers rely on front airflow in this trim, fine for kids, worth noting for adults riding in the back during the worst of summer.
