The first thing to settle on a Nissan X-Trail 2025 rental in Dubai is how many seats you actually need, because this is one of the few family SUVs at this size you can take as a five-seater or a seven-seater. We deliver it to your door in Dubai in one to two hours, and you can rent from 18 where most desks hold out for 25. Our advice up front: book the five-seater unless you genuinely have a sixth and seventh passenger, because the third row changes how much luggage comes with you. The rest of this page is about getting that call right and knowing what the car does well once you've made it.
The seven-seat version adds a small third row that folds into the boot floor. It works for kids on a short hop across town or one extra adult to a dinner, but it isn't a row two grown-ups will thank you for on a long run. The bigger trade is space. With all seven seats up you're left with around 120 litres behind the third row, which swallows a couple of soft bags and not much else. Drop that row and you're back to a proper SUV boot.
So the honest split is this. Five seats and a full boot for most families, two adults and two or three kids with a week of mall runs and a beach day. Seven seats only when you really need the bodies in the car and you can travel light, or fold the back row most of the time and use it on the odd occasion. Tell us which you want when you book and we'll bring the right one.
The five-seat X-Trail gives you about 585 litres with the rear bench up, which is genuinely useful. Two large cases plus a couple of soft bags fit without a fight, and a DXB or DWC pickup for a family of four works cleanly. Fold the rear seats and you've got a flat, wide load floor for a flat-pack run or a big grocery shop.
The catch only appears in the seven-seater with that third row in use. If you're collecting four or five people and their luggage from the airport in the seven-seat car, the cases won't fit behind everyone. That's the scenario where the five-seater is the smarter rental, or where someone's bag rides on a lap.

The 2.5-litre petrol makes 181 hp through a CVT gearbox, and it's set up for relaxed family driving rather than quick getaways. Around town it's smooth and quiet, and on Sheikh Zayed Road it cruises at 120 without strain. Plan your overtakes a little, since the CVT takes a beat to gather pace when you floor it, but for normal Dubai driving it's well judged.
The 55-litre tank paired with roughly 8.9 litres per 100 km in the city gives a real range near 705 to 740 km. That's most of a week of school runs, errands and a couple of airport trips before you go looking for a station. If you choose the 4WD version you'll use slightly more, but the difference over a week is small.
A mid-size cabin at 45 degrees needs a climate system that recovers fast, and the X-Trail's does. Park it in the sun and the air comes through hard once you're moving, and the back of the cabin gets its own vents so kids in the second row aren't left baking behind the front passengers. For a family car this is the spec that matters most from May to September, more than any trim detail. Give it a minute with the doors shut and it's comfortable front and back.
At 4.68 metres the X-Trail is a mid-size SUV, not a compact, so tight Marina bays and steep multi-storey ramps need a bit of care. The high seating position and light steering help, and the roughly 205 mm of clearance means speed bumps and mall entrance lips don't scrape. It's comfortable on the E11 and easy enough to place once you've driven it a day.
A few Dubai facts to know before you set off. Salik tolls are billed to you as you pass the gantries, and any RTA fines during the rental are passed on to the renter. A child under four needs a child seat by law, and we can fit one on request.
Rent the X-Trail 2025 as a five-seater if you're a family who wants a roomy, comfortable SUV with a real boot and easy highway manners for a Dubai week. It's the sensible middle ground: bigger and more relaxed than a compact crossover, cheaper and easier to park than a full-size SUV like a Patrol.
Take the seven-seater only if you genuinely need the extra two seats, and accept that with all of them up the luggage space mostly disappears. If you regularly carry seven people and their bags together, a larger seven-seater is the better fit. And if it's only ever two of you running around the city, you're paying for more car than you need, so a compact crossover will do the job for less.
