With 250 km a day built into the booking, the Nissan Rogue 2025 is an easy compact SUV to live with on a Dubai week, and we'll have one at your door inside a couple of hours. This is the latest version of Nissan's five-seat crossover, now running the 1.5-litre variable-compression turbo three and a CVT, with the cabin tech and quiet manners brought up to date. What it does well is simple: a higher seat, a roomy back row, a real boot, and a relaxed drive that doesn't ask much of you in traffic. What this page sorts out is whether that easy-going character is the right fit for your trip, or whether you should size up or down.
Think of it as the sensible middle. Two adults, two kids, a week of mall runs and beach days, and a couple of airport pickups: the Rogue handles all of that without fuss. You sit high enough to see over traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road, the ride soaks up Dubai's endless speed bumps, and parking it is no drama. It's a comfortable family pick rather than a driver's car, and it's honest about that.
Where it stops making sense is at the edges. If you regularly carry six or seven people, the Rogue is firmly a five-seater, so look at a larger SUV with a third row. And if it's just one or two of you doing short city hops, you're paying for space you won't use; a hatchback is cheaper and easier to slot into a Marina bay.
The 201 hp turbo three is enough for the way most people drive here. Around town and at a steady 120 on the E11, it's smooth and quiet, and the AWD gives you a planted feel in crosswinds and on the occasional sandy shoulder. Overtaking on a single carriageway is fine if you plan it.
The honest caveat is the CVT. Floor it to merge or pass quickly and the engine drones, revs climbing while the car gathers speed a beat behind. It settles the moment you ease off, and in normal driving you barely notice, but anyone expecting sharp throttle response will find it soft. The steering and body control are tuned for comfort too, so it leans a little in fast corners. None of this matters on the school run; it matters if you wanted something sporty, in which case this isn't it.

| Power | 201 hp |
| Transmission | CVT automatic |
| Drivetrain | All-wheel drive |
| Seats | 5 |
| Fuel economy | 7.6 L/100km combined |

| Ground clearance | 208 mm |
| Boot | 895 L, up to 2,098 L seats down |
The 895-litre boot is one of the Rogue's stronger cards. Two large suitcases plus a couple of soft bags go in flat, which covers a family arriving at DXB or DWC with a week's worth of luggage. Drop the rear seats and you get 2,098 litres, enough for a flat-pack run or bulky beach and camping gear.
Day to day with the seats up, you'll fit a full grocery shop, a stroller, and the usual kit without playing Tetris. It's the kind of practicality that's hard to appreciate from a spec line until you're loading the car in a hot car park and everything just goes in.
At a real 7.6 L/100km combined, the Rogue is reasonable for a mid-size AWD SUV, though Dubai's heat means you'll run the AC hard, so expect to sit a touch above that in stop-start traffic. The 55-litre tank gives a useful working range of around 700 km, so on a normal week of city driving and a couple of longer runs you're looking at roughly one fill, maybe two if you head out to Hatta or Abu Dhabi. You won't be living at the pump.
This is the question every renter should ask in July. Park the Rogue in 45-degree sun and the cabin bakes, same as any car. The good news is the AC pulls it down quickly once you're moving, and the front vents are strong. There are rear vents too, which genuinely matters with kids in the back; they'll feel the cold air rather than waiting for it to drift back. Crack the windows for the first thirty seconds to dump the hot air, then let the system do its work, and the cabin is comfortable well before you reach the first set of lights.
For a mid-size SUV the Rogue is easy to place. At 4,648 mm long and 1,840 mm wide it threads multi-storey bays and U-turns without you holding your breath, and the high seating plus the around-view camera take the guesswork out of tight spots. The 208 mm of ground clearance clears Dubai's aggressive speed bumps and steep mall and Marina ramps without scraping, while keeping the car low enough that kids and grandparents step in easily. It's tall enough to feel like an SUV, not so tall that it becomes a chore in town.
Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental are the renter's responsibility, so keep to the limits and you'll have nothing to settle later. Seatbelts are required in every seat, and children under four need a proper child seat, which we can fit on request. None of this is unique to the Rogue, but it's worth knowing before you collect the car.
Rent the Rogue 2025 if you're a couple or a small family wanting a comfortable, roomy SUV for a Dubai week, with a big boot, a high view, and an easy temperament in traffic. It's the relaxed, sensible choice, and that's exactly its appeal. Just go in clear-eyed: the CVT drones under hard acceleration and the handling is soft, so it rewards a calm driving style. Need seven seats, and you should step up to a larger three-row SUV. Travelling light and staying mostly in the city, and a hatchback will save you money and squeeze into spaces the Rogue can't. For everyone in the middle, this is the one we'd hand you.
