Pay us when the car arrives. We hand over the Nissan Rogue 2021 at your door in Dubai and take a card, cash, a bank transfer, or Apple and Google Pay on delivery, so you settle up only once the keys are in your hand. The Rogue is a five-seat compact SUV that sits in the easy middle of the range: a higher view than a sedan, a boot that swallows a real week of luggage, and relaxed manners that suit airport runs and mall trips far better than a hot lap. This page is about whether that comfortable character fits your week, or whether you should size up or down.
Think of the Rogue as the family default rather than the enthusiast pick. A couple with two kids, a week of grocery and school-run loops, a day trip out to the east coast: that's its lane. You get the raised SUV view without the bulk of something bigger to thread through a car park, it carries five in genuine comfort, and the cabin is quiet at a cruise.
What it isn't is quick or sharp. The 2.5-litre four makes 181 hp through a CVT, and that gearbox is the one honest caveat. Floor it to merge onto Sheikh Zayed Road and the revs flare and hold while the car gathers speed underneath them, so the engine drones before the pace shows up. Drive it the way it wants, with smooth inputs, and that noise fades. The steering is light and the body leans in fast corners. None of that matters for the driving most renters do here, but if you want an SUV that feels eager, this isn't it.

Treat the table as reference. The numbers that change your week are below.
This is where the Rogue earns its keep. The boot takes a proper airport load: two large hard cases and a couple of soft bags sit in with the rear seats up, and a family of four can pack for a week without playing Tetris. Drop the back seats and you've got a flat run long enough for flat-pack runs or a bicycle. For a DXB or DWC pickup with four people and their cases, this is the size class that works without a roof box or a squeeze.
The honest limit is people, not bags. It's five seats, and four adults plus their luggage is the realistic ceiling. If you need a sixth or seventh seat, or three child seats across the back row, this is your cue to size up to a seven-seat SUV like a Pathfinder or an X-Terra. If it's just two of you doing city errands, you're paying for space you won't use, and a hatch is cheaper and easier to park.
Dubai's real test for any rental is the walk back to a car that's been baking in a 45-degree car park. The Rogue's AC is up to it. The front vents pull hard, and the cabin drops from oven to comfortable within a few minutes of driving rather than sitting there warm. There are rear vents too, which matters with kids in the back on a long run out of the city. It's a normal, effective family-car setup, not a luxury climate suite, and it doesn't pretend to be.
At 4.65 metres long it's a compact SUV, not a barge, so multi-storey bays and Marina ramps are manageable. The raised seating helps you place it, and the turning circle is fine for the U-turns this city throws at you. Ground clearance of 208 mm is generous for the class, so speed bumps, kerbs, and steep mall ramps don't make you wince the way a low sedan does. That clearance plus AWD on the all-wheel-drive cars gives you a little reassurance on a graded track or a beach approach, though this is a soft road SUV at heart, not a dune machine. Keep serious off-road plans for a proper 4x4.
On the official figures the Rogue returns 10.6 to 11.5 km/L, and Dubai reality lands toward the lower end once the AC is fighting the heat and you're stuck in traffic. Call it reasonable for a petrol SUV this size, not frugal like a small hatch. The 55-litre tank gives a quoted range of up to 816 km on a highway run, so on mixed city and motorway driving you're realistically looking at one fill-up across a normal week. Fuel here is cheap by global standards, so the running cost stays sensible even with the AC on full.
A few quick ones. Salik tolls are billed to you as the renter, so each gantry you pass on Sheikh Zayed Road and the major crossings adds up on your account. Any RTA fines during the rental are yours too, so watch the speed limits, which are camera-enforced and unforgiving. Seatbelts are mandatory in every seat, and children under four need a proper child seat, which we can add before delivery if you ask. Tell us if you'll cross into another emirate so we can sort the paperwork.
Rent the Nissan Rogue 2021 if you want an unfussy, comfortable five-seat SUV for a family week: the higher view, the easy luggage space, the strong AC, and the relaxed cruise are exactly what most Dubai renters want, and the soft handling and droning CVT under hard acceleration won't bother anyone driving it normally. Size up to a seven-seat SUV if you regularly carry more than four adults or need a third row. Drop down to a hatch if it's two of you doing city errands and you'd rather save on fuel and parking hassle. For the middle case, which is most people, the Rogue is a sensible, good-value pick, and we'll have it at your door within a couple of hours.
