Nissan Magnite 2025 - start from 132 AED / day

If you want the high seat and the easy view of an SUV without the running costs of one, the Nissan Magnite 2025 is about the cheapest way to get it in Dubai, and you can rent it from 18 when most desks here make you wait until 21. We bring it to your door in one to two hours. This is a sub-four-metre crossover built around two things that decide a city rental: it sips fuel, and it tucks into bays that defeat bigger cars. The argument of this page is simple. For one or two people doing city miles, the Magnite is the value pick. Load it with four adults and a week of cases and you'll feel its limits, and we'll say where.

Why it makes sense for a city week

The Magnite is shorter than a Sunny but sits you up high like a proper SUV, and that combination is the whole point. At just under four metres long, with a 5.0-metre turning circle, it threads through packed mall car parks and tight community streets that have you shuffling back and forth in anything bigger. The raised hip point makes getting in and out easy, and the view over Dubai traffic is better than any hatchback at this rate.

The 205 mm of ground clearance is the quiet surprise. That's more than plenty of crossovers twice the price, so speed bumps, the lip at mall entrances, and steep Marina ramps don't make you wince. You're not scraping a front bumper on the way into the basement.

The engine and the fuel you won't burn

Under the bonnet is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo making 100 hp through a CVT automatic, driving the front wheels. On paper that's modest, and around town it's fine: the turbo gives it enough low-down pull to keep up with traffic and merge onto Sheikh Zayed Road without drama. Where it shows its budget roots is the hard overtake at 120 with the car full, when you have to plan the move rather than just squeeze the throttle. For city errands and the school run it never feels short of breath.

Fuel is where this car genuinely wins. The official figure is around 17 km/L, and in real Dubai city use you'll get close to it. On the small 40-litre tank that still gives roughly 600 to 700 km between fills, so a normal week of errands runs on a single tank. The flip side of that small tank is honesty: if you're doing daily long highway commutes, you'll stop more often than the numbers suggest, because heat and high-speed cruising push consumption up.

Luggage and how many people really fit

The boot holds 336 litres, which for the size is decent rather than generous. Two people with a large case each and a couple of soft bags will be fine for an airport run to DXB or DWC. Fold the rear seats and you get up to 690 litres, enough for a single big shop or a flat-pack. The honest limit is four adults plus a week of full-size suitcases: at that point the boot fills and the back seat gets snug, and you'd be happier in a bigger SUV. As a five-seater it's really a comfortable four, or two adults and two kids with room for the mall haul.

Heat and how fast it cools

A small cabin is the Magnite's friend in summer. Parked in 45-degree sun it heats up like any car, but there's less air to cool, so the front vents pull it down to comfortable quickly once you're moving. There are no rear vents at this class, which is the trade for the price. With two up front it's a non-issue. With kids in the back on a long July afternoon, set the front fan high and give it a few minutes before they climb in. For short city hops it copes well.

The Dubai costs that fall to you

Salik tolls are billed to you as the renter each time you pass a gantry, and any RTA fines during the rental come back to you, so watch the speed cameras on Sheikh Zayed Road. Seat belts are required in every seat, and a child under four needs a child seat by law, which we can fit on request. None of this is unusual here, but it's worth knowing before you set off.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the Magnite 2025 if you're one or two people who want SUV height and city-friendly size on the lowest sensible fuel bill, and especially if you're under 21 and most desks won't rent to you. For errands, commuting and the occasional airport run with light luggage, it's the smart-money book.

Size up if you're regularly four adults with full cases, or if you spend most of the week at highway speed and want effortless overtaking and rear air vents. For those trips a larger crossover or a midsize sedan earns its keep. But for the classic Dubai city week on a budget, the Magnite does the job and barely touches the pump.
