Nissan 370Z 2023 - start from 376 AED / day

There aren't many cars left you can rent with a proper manual gearbox and a big naturally aspirated V6, and the Nissan 370Z is one of them. We deliver it across Dubai in one to two hours and offer a no-deposit plan, so you can book this two-seat coupe without tying up your card. It runs a 3.7-litre V6 sending its power to the rear wheels, available with a six-speed manual for drivers who actually want to shift for themselves. Our honest take: rent the 370Z if you want an old-school analogue sports car for the drive, not refinement, space, or a quiet cruise. It's a focused machine, and we'll be straight about what that costs you day to day.

The gearbox and the engine you came for

The 3.7-litre V6 makes around 332 hp and does its best work high in the rev range, which is the opposite of the turbo engines in most rentals. It rewards you for revving it out, and the noise is a big part of why people book this car. With the six-speed manual you're properly involved, working the clutch and the gearchange yourself, and the rev-match feature blips the throttle on downshifts so it sounds and feels right.

In Dubai's stop-and-go traffic the manual is more work than an automatic, and that's the trade. On a clear stretch of the E11 or a coastal run it's exactly what you want. If constant clutch work in Marina gridlock isn't your idea of fun, this is the wrong rental, and a relaxed automatic coupe will suit you better.

How it drives, and the rear-wheel-drive caveat

The 370Z is short, wide and low, so it darts into corners and feels glued at speed. It's not a soft cruiser, the ride is firm and you feel the road, which is the personality you're renting it for. The V6 pulls hard once it's spinning and the car gets to 100 in a little over five seconds, plenty quick for any overtake on Sheikh Zayed Road.

One local caveat. It's rear-wheel drive with a strong engine, so on a rare damp morning after rain the back end can step out if you're heavy with the throttle on a slick underpass. Treat the first few minutes gently and it's a non-issue. The rest of the year, on dry grippy tarmac, it just goes.

Luggage, heat and parking

The boot is small at roughly 235 litres, and a strut runs across it, so think two soft bags rather than a hard suitcase. With only two seats there's no back row to overflow into either. For a DXB or DWC run with full luggage this isn't the car, and a sedan makes more sense. Two people travelling light for a weekend are fine.

The cabin is tight, which helps in summer. Parked at 45 degrees the seats and wheel get brutal, but a small cabin cools quickly once you're moving and the front vents hit hard, with all the cold air aimed at the two of you. At about 125 mm of clearance and 4.25 metres long it's easy to place in tight bays and Marina ramps, though take steep mall ramps slowly and square so the low nose doesn't scrape. The Salik tolls you pass are billed to you, and any RTA fines during the rental pass to you as well.

Who should rent the 370Z, and who shouldn't

Rent it if you want a raw, engaging sports car and you'll actually enjoy the manual gearbox and the high-revving V6. Two people, light luggage, and a stretch of open road are what this car is built around, and at this rate it's an affordable way into a genuine rear-drive coupe. For a driver who wants involvement over comfort, it delivers.

Skip it if you need space, refinement, or an easy daily car, because two seats, a 235-litre boot and a firm manual coupe make those a struggle. If you want the look without working a clutch in traffic, look at an automatic sports coupe instead. And if outright cabin polish matters to you, this older design will feel its age. The 370Z is rented for the drive and the noise, nothing else, and on that it earns its keep.
