Mitsubishi ASX 2025 - start from 194 AED / day

We bring the Mitsubishi ASX 2025 to your door in Dubai inside one to two hours, so a compact SUV is parked outside your building before you've finished your coffee. This is the value end of the small-crossover market: a cheap, no-fuss car that puts you a little higher than a hatchback, gives you a boot you can actually use, and slips into tight bays without drama. If you're a solo driver or a couple who wants the SUV view and the easy parking without paying for a big crossover, this is the one to look at. The rest of this page is about where it fits, and where it doesn't.

What you're actually renting

The current ASX is a five-seat compact SUV with a 2.0-litre petrol four and an automatic gearbox, driving the front wheels only. That last part matters and most listings skip it. There's no all-wheel drive here, so treat this as a tall, comfortable city car rather than anything you'd point at soft sand. The 150 horsepower is enough to keep up with traffic and merge onto a busy road without a fuss, but it's a relaxed engine, not a quick one. Around town it feels light and willing. Ask it to sprint and it takes its time, which is the honest trade for the low rate.

Parking, ramps and the daily grind

At just over 4.3 metres long, the ASX makes Dubai parking genuinely easy. It tucks into the tight bays in older Deira and Bur Dubai buildings and doesn't sweat the spiral ramps in Marina towers or the busier malls. The turning circle is tidy, so the U-turns that define driving here don't become a three-point affair. The raised seat is the quiet bonus: you sit up and see over the bonnet, which makes judging the front bumper against a kerb or a pillar much less of a guess.

Ground clearance is 205 mm, more than most hatchbacks and plenty for what you'll meet. Speed bumps, the lip at a mall entrance, a high kerb outside a villa, none of it scrapes. That clearance is for surviving Dubai's bumps and ramps, not for leaving the tarmac. Front-drive and road tyres mean desert tracks and Hatta's rougher trails are out.

Heat, the AC, and a silver cabin in July

A parked car in a Dubai summer is an oven, and a 45-degree afternoon will have the ASX's cabin uncomfortable within minutes. The air conditioning is strong for the class. Give it two or three minutes with the fan up and the front vents pull the temperature down to liveable, then hold it cold on the motorway without straining. The cabin is small enough that there's less air to cool than in a big SUV, which works in your favour. Rear passengers sit close to the front vents, so a couple in the back stays comfortable even without a separate rear control. If you get the silver car, that pale paint reflects a little more sun than a dark one would, which is a small mercy in August.

Does your luggage fit

The boot is 358 litres, which is a usable shape rather than a headline number. One large suitcase and a couple of soft bags go in with the parcel shelf still up, which covers a week for two people doing the airport-and-mall routine. Drop the rear seats and you free up a long, flat load space for a flat-pack run or a weekly grocery haul. For a short DXB or DWC hop with two travellers and their cases, the ASX is the right size. Load it with four adults and four hard cases for a full airport pickup and it gets tight fast, and that's the moment to size up.

On Sheikh Zayed Road

The ASX is comfortable cruising at the E11 limit. Sit it at 100 to 120 and it's settled and quiet enough, and the AC keeps pace with the heat. Where it shows its budget roots is the overtake at speed. There's not much in reserve above 120, so plan your passes early rather than expecting a sudden surge. None of that bites on the commute, the airport run or the weekend drive across town. If your week is mostly long, fast highway stints with a full car, a stronger crossover or a mid-size sedan will feel less stretched.

Fuel is one of the ASX's better arguments. The 63-litre tank and a real-world figure around 7.5 litres per 100 km mean it stretches comfortably past 700 km on mixed driving, and closer to 800 if you're gentle on the highway. Heavy city stop-start drinks a bit more, but you're still looking at one fill for most of a rental week rather than hunting for a station every few days.

A few Dubai basics worth stating plainly. Salik tolls and any RTA fines during your rental are the driver's responsibility, so keep to the limits and watch the gantries. Seat belts are required in every seat. None of that is unique to this car, but it's the part of renting in Dubai that catches first-timers out.

Who should rent it, and who shouldn't

Rent the ASX 2025 if you're one or two people who want a higher seat, easy parking and a low running cost for city errands, the commute and light airport runs. It's one of the cheaper sensible ways to get an automatic SUV with a real boot, and the 250 km a day allowance covers normal Dubai driving without thinking about it. Size up to a larger crossover or a sedan if you're regularly four adults with full luggage, if you spend most of your week pushing hard on the highway, or if you actually want to leave the tarmac. For the solo driver and the couple it's aimed at, the ASX does exactly what it promises and asks for very little in return.
